    What did you CAD today?

Along the lines of the "What did you 3D print today?", I find there are some things that I draft up that just don't make it to the printer, or just stay as Work In Progress for awhile. Anyone else have something to share that just never made it to the printer?

I'll go first... I drafted up this pump handle for an Empire Sniper, made to look like a 6 barrel Gatling gun. I'm making it so that I can use 1/4" NPS black pipe for the barrels (0.54" OD), the front and back pieces print as two separate, and the holes to attach to the stock pump plate or hitman plate will have brass melt-in inserts. Who knows if I'll ever actually make one though, as I don't even have Sniper myself, haha.

Technically, I messed with the CAD on this a few days ago. But I added a solid bit in the lower jaw today, to make it a little more robust. The famed EMF100 Dragon Shroud (tweaked to be a bit more priterfriendly).

Not paintball related but I did a thing! I picked up a pair of used Amiibo's for my two sons for Christmas. The Bowser is missing a spike so I figured I would print a new one when I get a 3D printer for Christmas. It's not very complicated, but I don't have a ton of experience designing with CAD. For reference overall height of this is about 10.5 mm and 9.5 mm at the widest.

Reworked the Cad model for my dice box for Warhammer 40k. Loosened a bunch of tolerances and still reworking some of the radiuses.

This looking like some "Psycho Pass" gat kinda right now. Not sure what else to do. Probably some hollo sights and I'll call it for now.

Update : Sights and 'loudening' compensator added cause yeah! Bang Bang! If these sights work they gonna be really futuristic and sick (functionally I mean, they are angled for pball trajectory).

Red pen few featured I don't like on the 'main' side... the thumb rest, etc. Whatevs,.

Added : compensator styling - not sure if this looks but I don't feel like changing it. (okay I'll probably change it back I kinda hate it).

Last pic : calling this complete and sending it to print, hopefully I don't have to go back to edit anything but we'll see, minimum 10h print hollow. Last pic is just showing that aesthetics are for ballers POV for a siiiiiick box gun IMO but we'll have to see how it looks in real life. Gonna try and do more grips while this prints.

Messing with full-grips now.. got some funky styling on the fingerwells going but I'll probably change unless its super comfy. Gotta do a test print for sizing.

Pic 2 : cleaned up and added plateau for reasons.

pic 3 : cleaned up plateau feature and adding final rear feature.

OK this is complete - sending to printer hopefully it comes out nice and matching the slide aesthetic.

Hyjacking this thread muahaha. Last post on these 2 or 3 models (comp, slide, grips). Just extending the back of the slide out 0.75" and we should be done here. Also I need to move the sights back aswell, got em cut out to make the move.

Did test prints, slide super happy, grips didn't fit and need a re-print (but they are extremely sexy, the styling comes out very subtle). No spoilers on prints tho this time >

Going to do a foregrip attachment, might as well since the ergo on this thing isn't all that. Removable obviously. On the front goes comp / sil / potentially barrel adaptors but i dono.

update : okay got the foregrip done with minimal 'additions' to the base slide.. going for a 'polygonal' look on it I guess.

I'm thinking of 2 SKUs now, a base model, and then a more ergo model with top rail for red-dot and more cuts.. and of course a silencer or some barrel adaptor for a longer barrel. Gonna wrap up this marker and move on to another one but jus finishing up all the possibilities.

Not sure on the compensator styling or function - still gotta test print. Maybe I'll do something else up front.

How's it feed? I've wondered about making different shape feeders. If they don't feed, you can add internal ball guides or shelves (maybe).

Spider! I haven't tried making one yet, so i'm not sure. But the internal baffles might be a good Idea... Now I just need some red filament so I can print it out!

Idea is to utilize a standard front block, right? I supposed my only concern would be upwards binding, but could be totally doable.
