    3d printed cocker pump hinge frame!

    Hey! First time back since the big reset. Releasing the files for this has had people telling me to get on here and how cool the MCarterBrown printing community is. So whatsup cool cats (and dogs)?!
    I made this 3d printed pump hinge frame!

    I mixxed up Andy's from zdspb.com benchmark frame file and an automag frame file a friend had commissioned. Optimized for fdm printing, takes inserts and screws and thingys, and yea. Lot of different parts need consideration to make em work better for this tech. Tried to break it all down a bit on the prusaprinters listing. Hoping to make some more youtube videos and stuff, and how to guides as well.

    Would love to get into it more here and get your feedback, etc.
    I designed a trigger for it too but I think the trigger could use more work to be more durable. I just ordered a bunch of the triggers in mjf nylon 12 so will see if that's cool.

    I'm selling the parts kits for these on my website (muddybloody.com) to help raise some funds for a high temp corexy build. If I can raise the $ for one I will release the full bill of materials (BOM) on the parts. Screws and inserts and stuff. Currently the files are under creative commons attribution license, so I'm not trying to hold out too much on ya, and yea eager to share the BOM too, but felt this was best route for now.

    Once this is doing good enough out there in the wild, I will finish up my slide frame version.

      Very awesome! I can't wait for my parts kits to come in. I just need to build a cocker to put this on!

      I have it printing now. I'll look over the trigger and see if there is anything I can contribute to help with strength. That might be a tough one though.

        Like I said, "would love to get into it more here and get your feedback, etc", hehehe, so here we go

        For the trigger:

        First thing I noticed when blast testing/shooting the frame, was how tough the trigger seemed to be.

        That test was with tough shelled valken graffiti paint, at 265 fps, about 5-10 feet away, with 10 round tubes, so few shots at a time, shot about 40 rounds total. Maybe like 10 at the trigger. Other parts of the frame broke during that test and i had to revise it, but trigger was fine.

        Once I did a test at about 300 fps with an electro gun in 10.5 bps ramping, same tough shelled graffiti, 5-10 feet away, the trigger was first to go it seemed. Shot about a pod total, not sure how many hits to the center of that lolly pop. The grips also broke kinda early in that test compared to the frame which was a beast.

        Going to try and log this all on video. Want to figure out a way to make these tests repeatable and "scientific".



        O yea, thankfully the MJF triggers were really cheap, about $2 each in unprocessed grey, $10 shipping. Cross my fingers they work well! I bought 20 lol. Maybe shoulda just got one to start hehe

          Looks like people are starting to get their parts kits in. Going to have to make some how to assemble videos. Just did this hump back finger groove remix. Haven't published or printed one yet. Seems I left the safety hole in too lol. Not sure if any brave souls want to start experimenting with autotrigger.

            I made an auto trigger cam out of aluminum once. It was ok for me, but a friend borrowed that marker and crushed down on the trigger, rounding the cam out. Lot of leverage in there.

            Yea, I don't have high hopes lol. I don't really use autotriggers so not that experienced with them. Makes sense.

            Just added a bunch of variations to the prusaprinters listing! 2 style of finger grooves (or no grooves) with 3 style of backs and no grip screw options! 15 different remixxes in total.

              You gonna put a 7/8 rad on the top of these for a sheridan adaptation? I mean we can always just print the adapter plate JonM released, but figured Id ask.

              I love all of it! ive been trying to figure fusion 360 out to make my own designs, and contribute. I only get a free hour here and there so I have not gotten far. Fusion 360 is also a mfer.

                Here's a quick run of the BOM.
                Will try to edit this comment with links/part #'s

                -You need 2 of the bigger dowel pins, one for the trigger, and one for sear.
                -One of each length button head screws, Long one for the front of the frame, short one for the rear, for connecting to the body.
                -The unthreaded spacer and washer are also for connecting to the body.
                -Two 2.5x14mm pins for securing the ASA nuts so they cant strip the plastic or get funny on ya
                -Two square nuts for the ASA mounting
                -Optional length of the Socket head screw, long or shorter depending on your ASA
                -Four brass expanding inserts for mounting your grips
                -4 countersunk hex screws for mounting grips

                *the small 2.5x14mm dowel pins are listed with both mcmaster and amazon links.
                *You can probably source alot of this hardware from either mcmaster or amazon. The spacers and expanding inserts probably the hardest to find. I will try to publish the tinkercad files sometime soon so you can edit these things to your own spec.
                *Buying all this stuff gets expensive since you can't just buy one at a time. I might offer kits again in the future, if someone else wants to, be my guest. Just give me credit! I'm now using alot of the hardware on other projects, so hopefully it doesn't go to waste! Ahh
