    CO2 Holder

olds a CO2 so I can use my thumb to bump a fresh cartridge into the changer bucket. Uses two size 020 o-rings to hold the cartridge in place. Even within the same brand, the cartridge diameter varies a lot, so I have to try two or three cartridges to get a good fit.

    0.20mm layer height
    100% infill

EDIT: I added a double holder as well.

EDIT AGAIN: Increased the single holder's plate from 0.100 to 0.300 inches thick. Printed at 100% infill, it's rather sturdy.

Glad this had it's own thread.

I've made one for a particular marker (body mounted), but I've always gotten side tracked on a grip bottom mount.

Since you can make it however you want, am I sure a horizontal mount is what I want? I think I want two carts, maybe angled?

    Is horizonal the most ergonomic?

I have a bunch of magnets waiting on me as well.

I like having 1 cartridge ready at hand. In my early tournament days when we could only use CO2 cartridges kept one in the palm of my pump hand while playing, this would serve the same purpose of have a ready reload handy.

Could you make this double sided?

Yes, easily--just a copy and paste of the first side. Without a stock, it could hold a third underneath too. Only issue is that with my intended "use the thumb to press the CO2 into the changer bucket", the second holder would be hard to reach.

EDIT: Updated to hold 2. I thickened the plate the ASA crews go through to give it some more strength. File is posted with the original design here:

I just need it to hold, I don't use a bucket changer so I'll be popping it out with my other hand anyways.

I will try to figure it out, I'm pretty bad with modeling software.

Here is a pic of a side saddle mount. It is printed in something hard, with some rubber cement inside to give it better grab. It mounts in the 3-way screw holes of the trilogy body.

This is a bottom line mount, designed to be printed entirely in TPU. I doubt it will work well in hard material as the rings are not round and flex to hold the cartridge. It is cheap, but tough.

Making a holder out of TPU is a really good idea! I like it. Time to order some TPU.

In offering my TPU holder to our group, it seems we only have one other marker that is a candidate. 🙄

However, the spare cartridge desire is still there for a few others, so I dug this model out of my files a and fixed it up.
