Ok so review time. The fit and finish is pretty damn nice. The pump is very smooth. After many efforts to get the kit to work BLachance75 and I exchanged texts back and forth and he noticed a length issue in the pump rod itself. It would not recess back into the rail causing a burp and no shot. I decided to make another pump rod with the same angle just a bit shorter. We noticed that his was 3 3/4” and the one I had was 4” from front of rail to end of rod that hits the bolt. Trial and error the rod I made is now making this shoot smooth and easy. So all in all this kit is pretty damn nice and with a rod adjustment I think you are there. As of now I have put about 100 rounds through it and the kit is still solid. I will be using this on the 24th at an event and will get back as that’s when the real test will be.

Did you use 0.110" drill rod for the rod you made, or is it something else?

Will there be an aluminum version in the works at some point?

That is some excellent input, good sir! Really appreciate the time and effort. The pump rod was what gave me the most trouble on my end as well. That’s really helpful that you had another rod to compare to. I will (when I get around to it) make some new rods and give it a try on my end. Looking forward to hear how it plays for a day!

F1FX also had a pump rod issue, which caused his bolt to catch on the rod and rammed the rod into the handle, cracking the hole in the handle. So it’s really good to see that you also had a similarly related issue. Both could be solved by the shortened rod I think.

I’ll be in touch next week after vacation to chat about what we can do next.

Chuck E Ducky there won’t be an aluminum version from me. My MO is typically trying to provide a cheap functional alternative to the nice stuff. Always with the disclaimer “this is plastic, and one step above diy garbage, and may break”, ha ha. But pricing is aligned with that, like 1/3 of the price of a nice metal kit.

not sure if I’ll actually make any of these for sale, as it’s been more of a passion project. I might post the files and a build instruction.

      Stay tuned!

And then you get the ugly test prints that work perfect and won't die.

If you do end up posting the STL files they could be sent out to be made out of aluminum rather easily. I like the look of the kit. Can’t wait to try the one you sent Chris.

Ok so now it’s been used and abused on the field of play with zero issues and still going strong. I was hoping but not hoping it would take a hit to test its strength but truly feel there would be no issues. This round was all stock class play and coming up November 7th it will be tested at a pump event and I’ll throw a tank and hopper on it and use it for some games. The short pump strokes are pretty impressive and like said NOT one issue. BLachance75 took it out for a round and had no issues and Chuck E Ducky tested it out in staging with an impressed look. I’m sure these two will check in with their feel of it. Overall I’m still really liking it and would buy another one for backup if this breaks.

It feels great, nice and smooth short pump stroke. I like the feel of the handle and it looks nice on the mag. I have shot a few pump mags and this feels and handles like some of the more popular high end kits. I would 100% be for an aluminum version of this kit even if we just commissioned a few for Science. I would build a pump mag around it.

The printed version works great. An aluminum version would be awesome! There are even aluminum 3D printing options that could be anodized dark colors.

How smooth does this pump kit glide? I have one of someone else’s 3D print and it feels fairly rough to me.

It’s really smooth a lot smoother than I expected honestly.

Its smooth, there is a brass collar the pump guide slides against so you don't have the gritty feel of other 3d printed kits.

That actually makes a lot of sense. While it has the 3D printed weight. It don’t have that 3D printed feel.
