Cram and jam for AGD classic body

Was wondering if a cram and jam be made that slips on like the sight rail. Maybe held in place by two set screws.

Or maybe even better, the sleeve can slip like the sight rail, and you can switch from feedneck/cram and jam. Held again by set set screws or other options.

KNM on AO (I think here too) makes 3d printed ones. They slip over the body and the one I used worked well.

I made two or three stock class feed mags using screws tapped through the body. #6 screws iirc, they had a decent grip on the stainless. Just keep the ends out of the inside, which is the hard part (check and grind). I think the rear screw went through the bolt washer lip as well.

Honestly, I gave away two of those builds for Walzmas years ago before I really beat them up, so I can't say exactly how durable that mounting is, but they got some play and a lot of assembly cycles. Now I can't even remember whom I sent them to. They were fun.

I think the plan was to use #6 and step up to #8 if they ever stripped out, but they didn't strip.

I've also made a few attempts at 3d printed-set screw held rails and such. PLA and PETG both stretch too much for simple friction clamping. CF filament is more stiff, but I've always resorted to using other body features to attach and locate on.

That said, my superbolt cram and jam (in CF PLA) has taken a good beating and come back for more.

I bet JeeperCreeper could make one from some brass. He makes them for his other custom builds.

Saw this on FB. Does not look like it fits over the body like the sight rail.

JC’s brass thread in the Sheridan section. He could probably make you one to fit the mag Im sure.

This so would work. And if it slips over the body like the sight rail, using 4 set screws to help secure it. You would not need to drill all the way through the body. Just cut groves/indentations where the set screws sit.

There is also this one. Probably need a lil modification for your particular body tho.

I had seen these on random guns and never knew who made them. They look really nice.

I did a stock class feed on my pistol Mag build. A cram & jam would be simple enough to do if you can get an adapter made for it. It could probably be 3D printed. You would just need to drill & tap the body for the screw to hold it on. Just keep in mind that you'll need to get the screw length just right so it doesn't interfere with the internals.
