    POP Contest - KMDPB entry

This Spyder ("The Mouse") will be my entry for the POP contest. I plan on doing a spump where I will make a custom trigger frame and pump kit by hand and plan on half blocking and splash anno on the body. Thank you for the creation of the contest!

Mock up of the build. Added a few parts into the mix, all of which I already had in my spyder parts box (ccm feedneck, vasa, forgrip, asa.) Frame I designed. it was kit bashed from a ccm 86 and standard spyder frame. I then made a mold of the frame pattern to which I pressure cast a homemade machinable wax mixture.

Here is the Wax clone of the 86 spyder frame which I will do an investment casting of in aluminum or brass hopefully this week if I can find the time...

Tonight I made a plaster silica investment mold of the frame, hoping to cast it this weekend. I also modeled a pump arm that I will sand cast the rough shape and then machine it down and add threading. I am currently printing the pump arm in two halfs with key locks in the middle to make casting easier. Today I also purchased a spyder threaded freak barrel on facebook which I plan on anodizing to match the rest of the build. Total spent ATM $30 (freak barrel)

I would like to get yalls opinion on if I should go low pressure or not. I have a few dye hyper 2s in a parts box so the only additional costs would be maybe a spring kit. Thoughts? Thanks!

Last night I did the burn out of the mold and poured the casting. It didn't turnout as happy as I had planned but it'll still work just going to require a little more finishing work.

Today I made the mold and casted the pump arm, now I have to machine it. BTW I am getting an error message now when I try to upload photos so I am using imgur...

Okay got back to working on the poo... Today I milled the body more, went with a slightly different design. I also cut the stock double trigger down to a single to fit the frame. I milled out some space in the frame to hold the trigger mechs, drilled holes for the pins, and did some finishing work on the frame.

Here Is a mock up of the parts to give you an idea of how its going to look. I am also probably going to go low pressure and added a dye hyper 2 to the mix which I already had in a parts bin. I will have to order a spring kit though. I am trying to decide on a color to go with, I am thinking of doing a black and silver splash with smoke pump handle and grip panels. Any suggestions on color?
