Oh so I'm pretty much on par with everyone else with the pirate double. 12 shots, first few around 250-260, last one was 191. I believe it also chronos the slower ball, so there's a chance the other is going just a touch faster because of paint inconsistencies, but double Freak bore helps. I'm using a P series valve.
Ar 12 you're still shooting 24 paintballs.... pretty decent for a Sheridan. You're doing really well if you're getting that out of a double (IMO).
P-series suffer from a shorter hammer travel as well... K-series have a slightly heavier hammer and much longer travel, so easier to get velocity and efficiency from.
I dimpled the hammer face to gain a couple extra mm of hammer throw. Stock valve spring, and the older style hammer. I also put an rva on it with a PPS length spring. The RVA is backed out to compensate for the length. The valve core is also opened up to the absolute maximum. I could definitely gain fps with tighter inserts, but I don't have a pair of anything smaller than .684.
McMurray did a dual pierce 12gram in KPs. They punctured both and pressurized the lower tube. I have one of these assemblies but never really used it on a gun.
