12 Gram Automag Check Valve Suggestions

I'm building an automag classic pistol that runs off of 12 grams and I'm looking for advice. If I used an ICD lever changer in a vertical asa, how could I keep pressure in most of the line during changes to increase efficiency? I was thinking of building a hardline with a check valve but it looks like I'd need to use 1/4" tubing with swagelok fittings and space is limited. The ICD lever changer has a conical recess in the asa portion (pictured poorly) that could seat a ball bearing but I'd worry about the "seat" feeding aluminum bits into the valve and also not sealing. Thanks for any help

I know you can get drop in ones for the CCI buckets. there are simple solutions using pen springs and ball bearings/ Teflon ball. I have a kit that Monkey something made it’s basically a reg seat style material and a pen spring.

You could likely make one for the ICD very similar fairly easy. But I haven’t seen anything off the shelf.

I'll try the Teflon ball route. The disk won't fit in the cone shape seat of the changer. If that doesn't work I'll get a cci bucket changer

There are HK fill nipples with included springs that make good check valves. I’m using them to make single shot dueling pistols without onboard tanks or 12ies

What if you printed something to hold the sealing surface and spring. On the Phantom ASA it has a pin that depresses a tank pin. So the spring sits on that and keeps it all centered.

I guess you could mod a valve into the bonnet of the ICD

I bet a self centering cone shaped pin that matches the ID of that hole in the ICD. Make it hold like a Phantom Cup seal for the sealing surface and hold a spring on the back side.

Drop it in screw it in against the ASA should do it. Might even get away with a bunna oring as a sealing surface if you can keep in centered with a good design. Not sure how well Printed products hold up to the CO2 pressure/ abuse,

Could you just double up o-rings? The outer diameter o-ring centering the smaller, thicker inner o-ring as the BB sealing ring.
I just used a 005 o-ring, a 0.177 bb, and a spring to seal a CCI 12 gram changer from the hyperlink above. I didn’t have a tapered surface to deal with though.

Would something like an Ion detent work for the shape and size? I saw these and thought of this thread.
