Here's a "fill it in as I go" shots... barrel assembly is mostly done (still need to drill the transfer port and cut the lug slot).

So.... I sat down this afternoon and sifted through all my boxes to see how many of the parts I had and what I'd need to buy for this build (see above list [I have a problem, apparently]) and got the barrel assembly started.
All the brass for the upper has been cut, sanded down, and fitted together. I'll have to do my cuts later this week or this coming weekend and once I've got the lower tube together I'll trim the barrel to the final length.
This'll be a semi-auto version of my single shot... The plan is to have a dropout slot, side springfeed, lugged sight rail, etc. Should be pretty cool.

It's friggin' freezing outside, Mr. Bigglesworth... so I can't do a lot, but I've managed to get the lower tube sorted and the main body stuck together.
I'm working on getting the sear slot and frame mounting holes in place, and then the ram housing and feedtube will need to be fabricated and soldered on. I'm still working out how I want to do the LPR... I think I have a solution figured out that won't involve hanging it off the side on an elbow, but it may come to that.
Stay tuned!
EDIT: got the sear slot/grip frame mounting holes in place. I located/drilled a rifle pringle screw mounting hole too, I've got the right parts to do a pirate Squallicane setup if I change my mind on the pistol setup.

I threw on a few more layers of sweaters and got the ram mount finished and soldered on. Still some cleanup to do on it to get the ram in - some solder overflow in one spot is stopping the ram from threading in completely - but we're getting there.
Starting to look like something! Still need to do the feedtube and figure out the LPR, and then do the cosmetic stuff.Last edited by Jordan; Today, 05:40 PM.
