Doing some preliminary homework and found a 9 year old unboxing video: https://youtu.be/PCMho2lYfbg And a nice teardown: https://youtu.be/1BMPPPPNBIY

I know it won’t accept a Cyclone, at least not natively. Anyone know if it supports a response trigger?

Il need to figure out a bottomline asa. No longer made, sold out everywhere, and Trbo’s pics don’t hint at their being available. That’ll be an interesting problem to solve.

Quick tangent - has anyone else discovered the Carver One car in your research for this poo build? Pretty cool!

Lol, I've done some research alright, it's mostly 98c internals, that much is fairly obvious. But there's some interesting differences

This sounded fun, until you got to the part about cheating and whatnot. Because of this, I'll be a spectator.

Good luck to the underdogs with hand tools.

                      That's always a thing with a pile-o-poo build-off.

Much of it is in the hands of the judges, but you have to find the build you enjoy personally, winning or not. That's the fun part, seeing what people come up with, even if just functional.

We've had some really nice hand tooled builds in the past.

... I mid blocked my autococker with mostly hand tools. the only non-hand tool I used was a tabletop drill press and I would have been just fine using a hand drill

                    That aside

I was actually thinking about this the other day because it seems like we have a handful of newer builders in this one so I was thinking of splitting it into essentially the minor League and the Major leagues

The minor League would be anybody with limited experience doing builds or custom work and with limited tools

Major leagues would be anybody with more experience and capability and anybody attempting a 2 or more barrel build

                    Thoughts?

I will only be spectating on this one since I don’t even have time to play let alone tinker at the moment.

However, I think Minor League vs Major should be broken up a little differently.

Anyone with 3D printers or lathes/mills etc should be considered Major League

Hand tools only should be Minor League since they are at a significant disadvantage

Last time I limited the competition to amateurs, and invited pros to participate with non-competitive exhibition builds... But that ended up completely discouraging any pros from participating at all. And you will have to define who is a "pro". I went with something like 'anyone who has built more than two markers for the express purpose of selling them'. It wasn't awful, but I could have done better on that question.

That was my experience, hopefully it helps you.

I know very well what hand tools can produce. That's what I have. The only "machine" I have is a drill press, which is the most basic of machining tools. But when you don't have a 3d printer or a mill, you definitely have to get more creative about the build, and the processes you use to get it done. Machinists have a clear advantage in this, which I'm not complaining about one bit (I could have bought so many tools if I didnt buy a Jeep, but thats my choice, I get that.) I'm just wishing luck to anyone going against the "big guys" on the list.

Also like JeepDVLZ45, I have no time for another project right now. So I'm not being bitter or anything, this just didnt appeal to me enough to make me want to set other projects aside to do it. Cheers.
