Since I’m converting mine back to 0.68, I decided to go with an unmodified rod just to have the extra stability. I’ll keep this with he .50 insert just in case I decide to do a .50 conversion for kicks down the road. New rods are only $2.50, and I’ve already got free shipping on an order

I think the short end is (used to be) painted, to match the screw that sticks up a little.

Right, I only found the issue because when I put it back together after cleaning, it wouldn’t fit in the guide channel because it was in backwards - hadn’t converted it back to .68 yet. I’ll just order a new one and will keep the modified rod with the conversion kit

Mine seems to work fine but yeah, you gotta keep the connecting rod flipped the right way or it won't work. The short side to the bolt side.

I’ll put some paint through it and see if that breaks it loose. Thx for the offer, but I may just add one or two to my next parts order to ride the free shipping train. they’re cheap enough To make a trip across the river not worth the effort

I know this thing ended way back in November…
But I'm going to finish before SuperGame 2024. Flitting, since that's when Trbo323 passed the poo marker to me in the first place.

I noticed the connecting rod has a bit trimmed off the front where it fit into the .50 cal adapter. Anyone had any issues with it working with a stock bolt, or have you replaced yours? Looks like it fits OK and mine cycles. Just wondering from those who've had theirs running for a bit longer.

I still have markers although feednecks are getting scarce. That may end up being the limiting factor
