Brickhaus' 2026 Poo build. Better late than never

The day I got my poo build in the mail I was away from home for 8 days. I then have had a meat grinder of work, and chore schedule causing me to not even look at my build until today.

I had a grandiose plan to do a wood stock, and or a brass body. Lever action was also in my head, but budget will make that last one impossible.

Id also prefer to just do something different than the crowd, and you guys think a lot like me, so many ideas have been scratched.

Today I cleaned up the bits I think I want, and tried to just get it to hold air. No dice. im going to have to splurge on a full rebuild of the bolt assembly.

I think Ill otherwise make a custom aluminum trigger out of some aluminum plate I have laying around. Add a brass trigger shoe, and KISS otherwise.

when cleaning it up, i found this nasty burr in the breach.. i hand filed that out, and took the detents apart for a good clean.

I then spent hours trying different bolt o rings out of an old captain o ring ion kit I have to no avail. It leaks out of the rear frame screw hole no matter what bolt, or o ringd I try.

On the bright side it seems my rocket assembly works. So I'll order a rebuild kit and call it at that.

Here is my poorly traced trigger plate and the body with the evil detonator I was trying to use. I know the reg works so it is a means to not spend time on the sp hprs.

Is that a TechT L6 bolt I spy in that drawer?

Two of the three bolt assemblies I had were leaking out the rear body screw and it was driving me nuts after solving several other leaks before those presented themselves. It turned out to be the metric o-ring (OB7M20) that the diagram shows at the end of the rear bolt assembly. Removing that allowed the bolt tip to screw all the way into the rear bolt assembly and let everything seal properly when gassed up.

I live firmly astride the line between SAE and Metric. I don't like it, but it is what it is. The ONLY thing that truly pisses me off is when a manufacturer mixes both systems into a single design. Thanks for pointing that out. Its one oring that I didnt replace, and is still sealing in both of mine.

Ya, I just ordered a used Emek that I assume will need o-rings replaced and was looking over the parts diagrams for that marker and I also see a mix of metric/SAE o-rings there. It is frustrating dancing between the two in a single system.
