Would be kinda sweet to make it like a Swiss k31 straight pull. Keep up the work!

Straight pull would be sweet, but the aim of this build is to correctly finish what was started. Therefore, I'm stuck with the semi Tippmann 98 Custom Pro base unit.

Finally, another update. So here is the story since last April. I have mag fed modified dozens of Tippmann 98's. I have not modified a 98 Platinum before. So, I made a stupid rookie mistake by cutting too much of the body. In doing so, I removed the section that retains the nut required to hold the air supply hose in the valve. Yes, unlike the other 98 series valves, the 98 Platinum valve air source does not thread into the valve body. This made the platinum valve useless for this project. I struggled to find an answer to the valve problem. Eventually I installed an original 98 valve system. Since the Platinum does not have screw hole locations to hold the valve, I ran into trouble with the entire valve body moving during operation. Eventually, I found that a hard air stem held the valve from moving. Next complication came from trying to use the SAR mags. Although it appeared to fit in the area that I had removed for the mag well, I found out the magazine location covered part of the air supply location. So the Gehr43 look is out. So back to the Dmag system. At last I have a functioning valve system and bottom feed magazine system. A few more touches and it will be done.

I just realized that I never posted the finished product. So here it is.
