    this lot is too pricey though IMO

    I've always liked the way these look with the long shroud. Throw a qloader on there and it's even better. Unfortunately the plastic needs to be reinforced somehow to be able to use the thing.

      Yeah the SP8 is very cool. I don't know if it would be possible, but a DAM mag mod would be insane, especially mech. They were a great concept, but not so great execution.

        I have a Mech SP8 on the shelf...

        It would take a whole lot of work, just to be destroyed though. The plastic didn't stand the test of time. Mine is cracked and glued all over, and the feedneck broke so I made one from brass and epoxied it to the body. Basically swapping the internals into a similar looking airsoft body would be more viable, especially with a 3d printed mag reciever

      There is a warpig article about modding one for a warp or Q-loader setup.

      The other marker that looks just like this is the JCS MKX8. It was an STBB in an interesting modular design. Not a great gun but interesting. It would be easier to make it mag fed than an SP8.

        With that long shroud on these things were whisper quiet. Total PITA to get inside for service.
