Lol, I still have all 3. Only rebuilt one so far, shockingly life got a little crazy when we decided to start house hunting. The last slg I sold was at $140 though, before those three

Ok, so this has been an adventure
Everything was all lined up, ready to go and about 5 days before moving day we got word that the people buying our house had some paperwork issues. Turns out they just didn't get around to some of it.
So then they had to file a contract extension which we also had to do for the house we are buying so everyone downstream was effected. The worst part was we already had everything lined up for the move, moving truck, utilities, internet. We had to call all of them back and say "jk! But we don't have a move date yet"
Comcast was the worst, I called them saying hey, don't stop service quite yet, our move date changed. They instead, cancelled starting service at the new address but DIDN'T stop the cancellation at our current address. So on Monday, we lost internet. I had to call them 5 times and really it was one of their techs calling my wife and speaking with her for 3 minutes that resolved everything. They wanted to run a credit check to open up our service again for a mistake that they made. Unreal
Anyway, by next Friday I should be packing everything up and next Saturday will be the first night in the house

Congrats on the move! I’ve never had a move or house hunting/buying/selling experience that didn’t go at least a little sideways. But they all worked out in the end.
I hope to go to Supergame this year but won’t need a place to crash - it’s about 30 min from my place. Hope to see you there!Originally posted by Chuck E Ducky:

I installed manufactured housing for a decade. They are incredibly well-built, everything is glued and screwed in the factory. They need to be strong enough to be moved by truck for many miles, assembled at the site by crane without any interior damage. Even the drywall is glued to the studs before being screwed.
Congratulations, nice place!

I stick built homes for a living as a kid. Those manufactured homes are every bit as nice and well built and a Stick build. I had one on order until the price of material doubled and I pulled the plug on the process. I have done a few tours of a few different factories and they are over built in climate controlled environments. The way they are made is hard to replicate in the field. The factory tools used for cut lists are super precise. I was very impressed with how they are built. It’s superior in a lot of ways honestly. Only downside is box size restrictions to cost but you can build some very good size houses within its limits. Design options are great. You can give them a plan and they can make it happen with very little compromise. I’m buying a weather tight shell and finishing it myself when material cost comes down. It dose seem to be falling off a bit.
