I think The Running Man is considered action, it’s definitely sci-fi adjacent though. 1984 & Brazil have similar dystopian plots. I mean, how many entries should a poll like this have? I was thinking a handful. And I wasnt even considering animated films.

…I definitely dropped the ball on Blade Runner and Robocop, they slipped my mind completely. I actually downloaded Blade Runner (UHD remastered) just now.

I have to rewatch Escape from New York. I feel like I’ve seen it but it wasn’t very memorable.

How you can not say star wars is beyond me. Stood in line for empire and is still one of the best movies. The 80’s had so many original great sci fi movies dont get me wrong, but a sci fi world without star wars is sad.
