Plus MCB talks about him constantly so we probably help him generate sales.

I've done a trade with him before. Guy is legit, and he's honest. The fact is, eBay's fees can border on 40% when all is said and done including shipping.Comment

eBay fees suck and I love that you're considering the seller but this is absolutely wrong.
From a sellers perspective...
eBay base about 15%
Ebay power sellers 12%
PayPal 3.5%
Venmo business acct 2%
Venmo peer or zelle 0%
eBay is aggressively throttling list views recently to force sellers into their buy up ad programs, so we could make a leading edge case for +5% at most.

Last time I sold something on Feebay was a Buy it Now for 1150. Between eBay, PayPal, and shipping, I made just over 820. Even by your numbers, 20% before shipping, that's a lot.eBay fees suck and I love that you're considering the seller but this is absolutely wrong.

I'm not trying to pick an internet fight with you and wish you well, but I also believe that if we're discussing a topic it's important to be accurate. Selling paintball stuff on ebay costs the average user in 2025 shy of 15%. Power sellers get discounts and some users pay more to advertise. There's nothing about it to debate.
Your cost to ship a sold item is unrelated to use of ebay as are taxes applicable to either party
We can both agree I think, that we'd rather not give ebay that money if we can avoid it!Comment

Yeah I agree, the shipping cost is going to be there unless you are selling locally so it's not really accurate to say eBay/PayPal take that.
I don't understand why people complain about eBay, if you don't like it, don't sell there. It's not like they have hidden fees, their fee structure is laid out pretty legibly.

At the end of the day he's found a niche and he's capitalized on it. It's not like he's a CEO of a company who provides a necessary service making millions while denying that service, so I just think the hate is unwarranted for the guy.Comment

The solution is that people who have a problem.with any decisions from any buyer or seller have the option not to sell things or buy things from that buyer or seller. Exercise your option as you see fit.
It bothered me most with automag part out people because it caused such significant price increase that the more modern mags became difficult to justify from a performance per dollar perspective.
Finding guns I liked that needed love, improving them or making them to my liking or just checking them out and then deciding they weren't for me and then selling or trading them away them again is how I supported this hobbt and afforded movie tickets for dates. But I never put myself in a position to need to demand top dollar for anything or to have to split it up at top dollar to max out on my profits. Just wasn't the only priority. Someone can do this while maintaining integrity.
Right now the worst thing going on is parting out ccm guns because some stuff like the trigger frames are so valuable.
The last gun I put together was a ccm gun and it took many months for the parts to be purchased and found to make it the way I wanted it to be. I would have been sad if it ended up as just a forlorn body again. It didn't, fortunately. And seriously most stuff is not special enough to care and when its out of my hands, I'm done with it. But I don't buy from overpriced people and some sellers you simply know are never gunna offer anything at a good price so you don't even need to open their threads.
Ask in the WTB area in good faith and people will help you get what you need, often enough.Comment

The guy who runs it is Ryan Trischetta, right now he goes by "Ryan David" on FB. Changes his name every so often. That should tell you a few things. Guy's a scumbag in my eyes.Comment
