FRT autococker?

Has anyone ever seen or built a FRT (forced reset trigger) autococker? Basically putting an AT on a standard cocker.

I was messing with my pump gun (empire sniper) and realised what it was doing, and how it may be possible.

They really arent that difficult to time. I find mine easier to time then some of the normal cockers Ive done. Just time it as if it is a normal cocker. With the air restrictor on the ram set to full open (rememeber that step). The "auto" portion extra and doesnt really get adjusted.

The Boston Reflex cocker was another animal all together. This is more what they're thinking. Digging up this video was a trip down memory lane for me.

Yes and no. The timing is very tight and also yes that one in the video is way too fast but, and I've never seen this done but I don't see why adding a flow restriction on the ram wouldn't solve that. You could keep the same LPR pressure but adjust rof through the restriction.

Now the biggest problem I'm currently running into working on this exact thing for jokers is the absolute lack of pump arms that are set up for semi auto and have a AT hole. The other thing to keep in mind is you have to have a frame that has both a 3 way connection and a AT setup. Inception is one of the only options there, I'm sure there are others but most of the other options are out of production

Boston reflex was dead before it even came out because of electric guns. Then the remake of it came out last year to the Public iirc....very expensive for the gimmick

I have owned a cocker for barely over a year now, so Im doing fairly well. Im no stranger to expensive gimicks, I built a e-bolt low pressure 98.

yea, that's part of why i love being apart of MCB. I started playing in 2000. I had some exposure to pre 2000 paintball but at that time it was all avout speedball and what was coming out next. I have been learning so much from MCB from before, during, and after my heydays

I'm made R/T cockers in small runs for almost a decade. They aren't cheap because they replace 3/4s of the marker---it's not just the front block and the frame. There's a lot involved that has to be done to get them to work right. And I've shot them basically exclusively now for around the same amount of time. They're allowed at almost every big game or scenario in the country and I've used mine in a LOT of them. I'm General for WARSAW at Fulda and am giving one away.

And no, they didn't die out because of electros---they were first rolled out at Skyball and banned because they were faster than virtually everything else on the field---the comparison at the time was dropping a F-14 in the middle of WWII. That banning had Boston Paintball thinking that there would never be a market for them. They sold the patent to Tippman, who then modified the idea for their markers---hence their R/T triggers. They're a direct derivative of the cocker kits.

Once the patent ran out, I started making mine with a whole lot of improvements (if you shot one, you know that the frame was not comfortable at all and there were a lot of questions able at best decisions on parts all over the thing)---first with the ID frames, and now with the Gunfighter 1.5's, which are made like they have the kits in mind (obviously they did not, but they are really well set up for this). They work great for them and finishing off a run of those now.

The hard part people run into on other systems is building in the mechanical dwell without also getting chops. R/Ts that I make and that go on R/Ts don't use standard rams or even ones with standard threads on the front block and they do help with that, as do the custom length rods and bolt.

That was the game at NR in April 2025. It was the Mobtown Invitational game my buddy organized. We blended with your group or however that worked.
