My family is barely making it as is, just staying ahead of student debt, medical debt, raising costs etc. we would love to donate to charities and have in the past but with the way stuff is now we just don't have the money to do it. We are picking our dinner meals based on which ingredients cost less.

Just the way stuff is right now. The paintball market is doing the same thing, I only get to spend money on paintball if I make money on paintball and I just sold my first 2 markers in about 3 months. Right now I'm averaging $33/month coming in. It's not great

Trbo and the rest of the forum at large,

Please don’t take my last post as commentary on anyone here. I do understand that charitable giving is a personal thing and for a variety or private reasons, one may not want to disclose or share these with the public. I also acknowledge that not everyone is in a position to give, even if they’ve given in the past.

I was only up late with an adult beverage, thinking that the similar give away last year was more active. Again, that was a year prior and people’s circumstances change. I chose to copy this formula because I believe good deeds do deserve recognition.

This community is an amazing part of the internet.

I read your contest as a way to spread joy and encourage helping others. I have done a similar giveaway in the past. I never cared to see receipts and was just looking at paying things forward. It didn’t have to be monetary either! A lot of charity giving is in kind, or hands on, donating time or expertise. So I accepted that.

I would find it hard to believe that anyone took your posts/comments with ill intent, but the internet is known to surprise me... I thought this was a great idea.

Yeah I get it, I like the formula, it encourages good deeds outside of the forum just some of us are in different positions than we were this time last year. You were wondering why so few entries this year and I think that's a big one.

I just gave away a piece of gear to another member here, sent as a surprise because it took effort to put together and not really money besides shipping. (Not disclosing who because it just arrived and I'm waiting for their response)

I just felt that I needed to expand on my thoughts from that post.
As to donating/giving gear, I feel that meets the spirit for this thread. It isn’t just about monetary/time giving to organizations but any good faith giving to help another person out. If you like let me know an approximate value and I’ll add it to the chances given in your name.

I donate pretty regularly to college girls who are struggling to pay for tuition, books, housing, etc...

            Does that count?

If it helps, I'm pretty sure one is named Charity.
            I can haz feedback?
If I owe you feedback, just remind me, as I sometimes forget.

Payments made in single I’d imagine.

My wives hair salon does a giving tree for kids of recovering parents. One of my favorite donations in a while. $150 in toys were donated.

                          - Privacy

                          1) Stricter guidelines seem distasteful since its charity, but someone trying to win a prize needs proof. Most websites will show you a direct receipt. If it was more of a Toys For Tots situation… the toy had to be bought somewhere.
                          2) Not everyone wants to show that they did or how much they donated. These things are private for some. I took it upon myself to PM you, but make sure people know that’s an option.
                          3) Ask PaintHappy or one of the Cuckmandos to change your title. Something that explains the thread a little better. “Donate to Win a Mag” or something of the sort. Probably get more eyes on the thread.
I’ll add, while I was going to donate to the causes I did, this helped them out because I definitely added an extra $10 to each one to get one more slot here trying to win the mag.
And just to cover my own ass, in case this post seems in bad taste, I will also be donating the marker (or turning it into a donation one way or another) if I win.
                          Happy Holidays, folks!
not in "bad taste at all, I'm 100% in agreement with you, privacy/anonymity.

dont look too much into "lack of participation", some people just want to advertise/gain on their giving back.
I want to believe a lot of people are giving back to the community behind the scene (one way or another ...)
on this note, thank you for being part (and giving back) of the community💖
