I had seen this movie decades ago; it impressed me enough that I also had the vinyl LP of the music.
Phantom Of The Paradise

Sort of an LSD induced comic book mixture of Faust and Phantom of the Opera put on film.
Well worth the watch, if you can handle it. Then you'll want to watch it again while sober.
