The last 2 that I finished are
Meateater’s American History, Mountain Men
No Way Down by Graham Bowley
I enjoyed both books. I like No Way Down more as it wasn’t a story that I knew about. I knew that K2 was more dangerous than Everest but didn’t know any of the history or stories about it.Red OneComment

Just finished "Agency" by William Gibson. Sequel to The Peripheral.
It sucked. Started strong and just... went nowhere. A few brief, interesting scenes, but no overall plot, no story to follow. The feeling was a car chase with no heist and no prize.
Skip it if you were thinking of reading it, IMO.Feedback

I'm back on books about people suffering and dying in the cold.
The Last Traverse by Ty Gagne, excellent read and I'd recommend it if you're into the outdoorsRed OneComment

I'm into military sci-fi and history books, especially those dealing with warfare. I just finished Trinity's Children by Dave Bara."Aren't you getting too old for this??"
"Nope."Comment

I just finished Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy and jeeeeezzzzeeee that was by far the most violent book I’ve read, and it was really well written. Would recommend.Comment

Sounds interesting I will put that on my list. Gangs of Scalp Hunters sounds dark. -
If you want eloquent brutality it will not disappoint -

My brother got me listening to Dungeon Crawler Carl series on our commute. Fantasy kinda stuff isn't really my thing but I'm listening to them again.Comment

I restarted the Sword of Truth series. I'm on book three currently, Blood of the Fold. It was a series I started reading in high school, got through a handful of books and then stopped for whatever reason.Comment

Blind Decent by James Tabor
Im borderline claustrophobic and have zero interest in going in a cave but the book was interesting. I had zero knowledge of caves other than the typical tourist caves that you can go in. It’s kind of shocking to think that people voluntarily will go 6000+ feet into the ground.Red OneComment

Riding with Evil by Ken Croke and Dave Wedge
Along the same lines as Code Name Palehorse that Chuck E Ducky recommended, worth the read.Red OneComment
