Picked up a Asus VG248QG 24” G-Sync Compatible Gaming Monitor 165Hz Full HD 1080P 0.5ms DP HDMI DVI Eye Care. For $200. I figure I can update down the road if I feel I need more, it's not much bigger then the BenQ I play on now and seemed like a good deal for its spec. Going to run the Ben Q for Discord / secondary screen between matches.

It's on the smaller size when comparing the new stuff but its 165hz and .5ms response time should look clean and be responsive. Got it on a Black Friday deal on Amazon and they offer 90 day 100% money back guarantee if you are not happy. + its G-Sync Compatible with my GPU they can get pricey for some reason. I like a smaller screen for gaming anyway. I looked at those new 4k curved ones but the response time is a bit slower.
Will I notice a difference between 4ms vs .5ms most likely not. But I certainly noticed a difference between my big screen TV to my 1ms BenQ so I wanted something responsive.

Finally got my PC in after a 2 month wait. Origin took forever to build it after telling them if it didn’t ship by last Friday I was going to cancel my order it shipped. Haven’t got a chance to set the controllers up but I got a ton of free stuff with the Black Friday deals. New monitor looks great to going to download some games tonight and mess around with the controller settings.

Awesome! Now's time to eek as much enjoyment from it as you can!
I do recommend a giant desk mat like one of these. It'll double as a mouse pad, quietens a lot of tapping noises, and protects the desk from damage.
Hardware wise, yeah... just the monitor(s). 27" IPS in 2k @ 144Hz has been available for more than half a decade now. With the system you have, could drive a 32" 4k@60-120Hz whenever they're available. At 24"... well, it's a bit like having all season tires on a McLaren. The VG248QG is impressive for it's price point, no doubt, but you can only game seriously on one at a time. Make it a great one.Paintball Selection and Storage - How to make your niche paintball part idea.

I got a big one on order. Just snagged a cheap one from target for now. What a difference playing war zone on PC. It took forever to get my Activision/Blizzard/Xbox accounts to link. Finally got it going now. Next Friday I’m going to download assassin‘s creed Valhalla. Just watched some game play footage and it looks amazing. Can’t wait to see how it looks with the settings cranked up.

Sigh... looks like I'll be waiting till closer to end of the year for my ugprade. Glad you got your rig Enjoy it!
LG jus teased their new 43" and 48" OLED C1 TV's. These are going to be even better than the CX, so waiting isn't always bad :P

Burn in was always over exagerated. The burn in happens with max brightness on high contrast static images. Using %75 brightness or less there is basically no issue. But the C1 tech has better anti-burn in so "Yes".
The bigger real problem with the CX was the auto dim had a bug so some movies were too dark. This has also been fixed with the newer AI release for the C1.

Been playing mostly Warzone lately still haven’t figured out how to migrate my friends list. PC gaming has a distinct advantage for sure. The high frame rates clearer graphics larger field of view with lower latency really makes a big difference. You can program keys to do do specific things you can’t on a PlayStation/Xbox. Like one touch armor. On an Xbox/PlayStation you need to hold the button down. On a PC you can set it to tap and it will keep putting plates in until it full or canceled. Big advantage when running and gunning. Changing the aspect ratio you get a taller wider view. You can look over things with a PC that you would otherwise expose yourself to fire on an Xbox. It’s so clear you can pick up movement so much farther out. Especially those players that like their bright colors and tracer rounds. Can’t wait for the new Battlefield game this winter.
Hopefully they figure out a better anti cheat. Lots of these online games are rampant with hackers. It’s sad how many people pay so much money to rune others games. When did cheating become so acceptable. People commenting on how it would be nice if they could stream content and make it so the audience didn’t know that they are cheating. Who wants to watch a bunch of cheaters anyway? It’s bad enough that content creators are kept in lower skill rooms to look like heroes now they want to cheat on top of it. Seems lazy and sad.
It’s so much more noticeable on the PC especially when you get put in the harder ranked rooms. It’s full of hackers and people who are just really good.
Im still enjoying it but it’s more of a disappointment, how many people today are ok with cheating in a free online game.

I gave up on multiplayer Shooters completely because of this nonsense. I also just haven't dedicated the time to playing much anymore. The thing I noticed about PC verse console is the difference in HOW you play because you're not on your couch, and dedicated to the PC space. More commitment, less distractions. You don't move around as often, You don't clutter up the area as much. It's just a far more dedicated and enjoyable experience. I'm glad your rig is running well.... I have been lurking this thread debating about what to do with my now 10 year old rig.... it's probably time to upgrade.

Night and day for sure. I went to a gaming monitor setup a while ago on the Xbox due to the massive latency issues associated with big screen TVs. My BenQ 1ms gaming monitor made a huge difference. But the combo of the processing power and a .5ms gaming screen It’s crazy how snappy it is. The issue is now my KD is up I’m getting placed it rooms with the people that hack or are full time gamers. I’m still enjoying it. But I’m looking forward to some of the other titles like remake of Tony Hawks Pro skater 1+2 and The new assassin‘s creed.
But my shooter games are really my jam. It’s a cheap paintball fix for me.

That 'Creed Valhalla joint is what I want to be playing next. I managed to get a decent deal on a RTX 2060 locally that really spiced up my rigs life a bit. Now that I can play 3-4 year old titles at max on 1080 I'll probably try to see if I can't melt my motherboard on Valhalla. I just started another play through of Witcher 3 so that will keep me occupied with what little spare time I have for a while.
