I didn't want to be the guy to make the call on what to do but it seemed tob e dying on the vine so I figured it was time to do something and thinking Gundren is in here thats what Gudgeon would do.

mtaylor Ivan isn't too keen on going back into the cave with that mind-speaking creature. Would it throw you off too much if Ivan split from the group and went up the hill to enter the ruins?

So at that point I guess we are at a timing and distance question. Where am I when Ivan heads off in the other direction and do I hear him mention the "mind speaking creature"? (Passive perception is 13, if you want a roll Perception Check: 1D20+3 = [14]+3 = 17)

We can hear the Redbrands hustling into the cave, so you boys best be beating feet if you're hoping to catch them before they massacre me in the cave... is anyone staying in the cave with me? Do we have time to cut the bridges down and all of us go up the road? Lol.

In my experience, splitting up the party is begging for a TPK...

Since we are already in or going in, we can cut the bridges and scoot... catch up with the guys going up the road if we don't get shot to death on our way out. Lol.

If we meet with resistance, you do a thing and take off Gudgeon will follow you. He is currently under the impression that you guys know things about this he doesn't so he is following your lead. As long as there seems to be a plan. If there doesn't seem to be a plan he will look for a direct path towards finding his cousin.
