Some morning kayak fishing for the 4th. Windy day, I got pushed to shore as I was unhooking this pickerel.

Thats awsome, I see those in a small private lake near me... Crazy how big they get but always super skittish..... How on earth did you catch it? Amd the main question did you grill ot ot fry it for dinner?

Regular size hook chunk of turkey hot dogs I left out for a bit. Split shot about 6” up and put it on the bottom. We got a snapping turtle, an eel, bunch of channel cats. The kids fought with one fat one for a good while on the light action poles. They were so stoked when we netted it.

Caught this chunker this morning. I had another at least the same size, but my line snapped as soon as I had it next to my kayak

Did a little evening frog fishing and caught a beauty

I havent been successful with my frogs yet, but they are fun to hop around the Lilly pads

I cath a ton on them.... Heavy rod/50 pound braid straight to the frog and throw that thing back where nobody else dares

2 bass today out in the kayak. It was perfect weather for it

Haven't been able to go play paintball, so this has been an easy go to. I have so many ponds and lakes within 30 minutes or less from my house. Plus I can take the whole family, or sometimes just me and my lady.
