    Who's Pro Carbine Is This?

Came across this pic on Google when looking for info on my Pro Carbine. Really like the set-up and would like to know more about it.

Looks like the pic was from the old Mcarter before the hack.

Does anybody know the owner of this or what im looking at?

    thanks!

I did not build this one particular Carbine, but I have built many with this configuration. What do you want to know?

Well, I've been contemplating doing a spring-feed like Chappy has on his Pro Carbine, and running a small 13/3000 or a Ninja 22/3000 tank. I think that would fit nicely. That tank there looks like an old CO2 tank, but I could be wrong.

Obviously that one has some kind of expansion chamber. But that one looks to be running directly under the valve inlet. Usually the chambers are set further forward (at least thats what I've typically seen on the pro carbines).

And I've never seen a stock added to the Pro Carbine before. I've seen them on 98's and A5's, but not on the pro carbine platform.

I assume sourcing parts for a similar build would be somewhat of a pain now-a-days.

Looks like a quick Google search turned up the stock. Its an Allen Paintball "Hittmann" stock. Guess I'll be giving them a call tomorrow to order one.

I have a similar stock. They are cool, but not practical.

Not sure if this is something you're wanting to do, but another member sent me here a while back: https://procarbine.homestead.com/pcog.html

Look around a bit and you'll find several internal mods to smooth out the action, lighten the trigger pull and reduce noise. I plan on doing these eventually. Perhaps this winter.

The main thing that keeps me from the older tippmanns versus the 98's is that 98's trigger pull is good to go and the procarbine and older are pretty industrial crunch. I'd love to hear how a modified pro carb trigger "stacks up" no pun intended to the 98

SL trigger spring makes a noticeable difference. Certainly doesn’t make it a 98 pull on its own though. The biggest swap in difference for me is my aftermarket hammer. Although it drops FPS and I had to modify the power tube, it also significantly lightens my trigger pull. When I went from co2 to hpa I put the stock back in to make FPS. But my tire-assed finger in a scenario game changed my mind. I opened up the power tube and that took care of it.
I’m still not sure I’m as light as a 98 but close enough. I’m sure I could do better. In fact I used to have a 68 carb that had an incredibly light trigger pull. It was all in the hammer and sear mods. All factory but the seat was a blade and the hammer was milled and polished. I sold that years ago also I can’t get more specific but it was incredibly light and quick. I worried about it wearing down and failing though.
I shoot my prolite a lot so the procarb feels like a painthose lol.
