Machinists, I need some ID

I found this in the bottom of a lot of paintball gear. I don’t think it’s paintball related, but maybe they guy was doing some custom work. It looks like maybe some sort of depth gauge.

1. what is it?
2. do you want it? Otherwise it’s going in the trash.

Looks like some sort of bore gauge.

That's exactly what it is, a bore gauge. The fat part is the micrometer head, and the various rods can be used to stretch to whatever bore diameter you need. The knurled rod in the middle is a handle- that screws to the head, so you can reach down into the bore- for checking to see if the overall bore is "barrel shaped" or whatnot.

I can't quite make out the name, but I suspect it's The Lufkin Mfg. Co, Saginaw, Michigan. (Lufkin is/was a manufacturer of precision measuring tools, similar to Starrett.)

I'll take it of there are no other interested parties.

Thanks for the ID guys. I got a message from someone interested just about as soon as I posted it’s, so it’s out of the drawer and off to poke some holes.
