Hey MCB! Another post looking for some guidance. I have a Palmerized KP with a side dropout for a quicksilver changer that I am dropping into a stock and getting back to the rifle fun! I was wondering if anyone had experience with this and what the best shape would be. Here are some photos of what I am working with and my idea penciled in.

I'm partial to my solution:
I cut a relief into the stock to allow the 12gram to drop down and out. It retains the appearance of a full length stock.

I was gonna suggest Jordan's method, but offset a hair to its a side out deal.Comment

Thank you guys for your guidance! I appreciate you all. I ended up having to slightly offset it and went pretty steep with the cutout. I don't have many tools so this initially started out with a little wood handsaw and the rest of the material was moved with 80grit sandpaper wrapped around a 12 gram. Finished it off with 120 220 320 400. Now it's just time to re-stain.
Here it is !
