    Double barrel shooting question

    Hello MCB,

I have a quick question for those of you having double barrel (specially sheridan).
How do they shoot with one ball in one barrel and the other barrel without paint?
Im asking specially about sheridan's as they only have 1 valve.

    Thanks,
    X

The only one I have that's Sheridan would be the Nasty Typhoon (the other two are Nelson)
But the PPS still shoots fair with only one ball chambered, not that I've done it often - only when one hopper runs out before the other.
I suspect the volume of air is equally distributed whether there's a ball in the breech or not.

Mine shot much slower due to the reduced back pressure on the empty barrel.

-This. My Vee-Twins use one valve too, and pretty much have to have a round in both chambers in order to get a decent velocity.

My over-under Trracer has two valves, and if I recall it actually shoots hot if only one barrel is loaded. It's very counter-intuitive which surprised me. I'll break it out this weekend and reconfirm that...

-They're still connected at the air source.

TLDW - It seems like the left barrel tends to shoot hot without a second ball in the barrel... Interesting.

                      Thanks, that's awesome!

This makes my idea more realistic ... I contacted Clipard for the valve I need and it doesn't exist ... But I found a solution (less elegant).

Sweeet. Love what you've done with some other builds. looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Good luck!

                        Thanks,
I have one that I'm procrastinating to finish ... Meanwhile I'm looking at future design ...
This would be kinda funky, bit might be cool ... But I need to finish this one first!

My Umarex HDS has one valve but an unusually long space between the valve and the two barrels. While shooting in both-barrel mode it seems to make no major difference whether there was one ball loaded or two.

Note that this is using a ported flow restrictor, which is how I'm able to get it to shoot 270fps.

I have a KBG, and while I haven't tried it yet, I'm told that I could flip one bolt upside down to block one barrel and shoot first strikes a little more efficiently
