AHA!!! found the manual. Vintagerex for the win

Wish I could upload as an attachment, it would be nice to save this info in a separate place.

VintageRex.com is your source of information for collecting paintball markers and the preservation of the history of our sport.

I can host it on my site as well so it’s in multiple places. Amazing that even exists considering the gun was barely even made.

That's what I thought as well. It was clearly written by someone without much paintball experience, it's a wall of text

I've added very rudimentary document download functionality to my site, the manual now appears as a basic PDF link after all the images:
                Satco 700 - Peculiar Paintball

Plan is to add support for splitting PDFs into images so they can viewed as a slideshow directly on the page.

My site is hosted in Microsoft Azure, utilizing Geo-Redundant storage so its pretty safe at this point in theory.

-The bolt is basically a ram, blowback hammer, poppet valve and spool, all in one.

It's held back by a mechanical sear, that when pulled, lets the head of the bolt fly forward. That lets air from the back of the bolt blow through- like a spooler- once it's fully forward.

AS the bolt is moving forward, the hammer/sear portion trips the... "sub sear" for want of a better word, which activates a small valve that vents enough air to blow the bolt back.

The inside of the bolt has an air bleed that's cut off when the bolt is moving, and a sort of poppet valve that releases at the front of the travel.

Sort of, going by my faint memory.

I remember working it out back when I had HB's sample- it's easier when you can see the mechanism in person- but I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

The manual .pdf was sent to me by my contact long long ago after I started digging into the history of the gun - the example that I purchased on Ebay didn't have one.

The ones in storage are still owned by the original company. My contact tells me that there are other factors that preclude them being sold off to a third party, but he knows of my interest in them, and will let me know if there is any change in the status. So I'm biding my time, waiting for my contact to let me know of any change in the situation.

Anyone here manage to buy this example? OP wasn’t an enthusiast and posted once three years ago. Could be lost to history again at this point

                          This post made my day.
When I think of the Satco700, I'm reminded of a time when garages across the world could make a paintgun... using unique designs, unique tech and looks. And even if it was junk, it could sell in the hundreds and be considered very successful.

Now its all mega corporations, all producing similar looking guns, similar function, etc. meh

As of just a few hours ago, I believe _I_ now own them. This 20+ year quest may finally be coming to a conclusion.

Holy smokes, congratulations on getting it done and not letting them get junked! If it weren't for you I'm sure they would have been recycled.

Yeah, thankfully the person I made contact with decades ago understood my desire to ensure that these historical artifacts not be relegated to scrap metal status. It's been a waiting game since, and hopefully I'll have some very good news in the next few weeks.
