    Autococker fine tuning?

Yo, I have been working on my half block build this week, and I have a functioning autococker shooting 280 , but I wanted to learn more about cocker fine tuning.

I believe i have the HPR sweetspotted , the fps will drop below 280 if I start increasing pressure at the HPR.

But the ID HPR is about 1.5 turn away from being flush with the bottom of the reg, so I must have a pretty high pressure going into the gun.

And look how far the mainspring is turned in ?

Is that pretty typical number of turns in?

Edit: I do have a brand new Inception heavy hammer installed in there, and it is about 45 grams, compared to stock hammer which was around 39 grams.

The hammer is still pretty easy to cock back by hand. My pre-set WGP lpr is having no problems cocking the hammer with that spring tension.

Anyhow, the gun is consistent, and I could go play today if there was a game, but would like to tune it better if possible !

    Ideas please? Thanks, M7

    Play with it now.

Is it efficient through a tank fill? Can you get @ a case off a 68/4500?

Do you like the way it feels when it cycles?

The reason we "tune" markers is to meet our own subjective criteria. Your Whopper your way.

i have a cocker that i had to fight tooth and nail to find the right combination of springs/valve/bolt to get it to hit 300.. turns out it was the bolt.. i had bigger jumps in FPS from swapping the bolt out than anything..

do the "tissue test" and see if your timing could be improved for less blowback that can also really rob you of some FPS

sounds like you are looking for that aesthetic of a flush IVG.

Try the stock hammer & 2" medium spring with IVG flush, valve spring slightly stiffer than the main spring. The ID hammer is longer and requires more energy to accelerate, you can get better efficiency with it, but not as smooth.

The valve spring that is in there from the last owner, is very soft. I have a stiffer mainspring to try with the longer ID Hammer. Will that combo of soft valve spring / stiff main spring make for a low pressure setup, at the expense of some efficiency?

i'll see if I can get this going first, and pull the guts again, if not happy with results.. If I understand correctly , if I turn the IVG in increasing the spring tension, and thus increase the force the hammer hits the valve with, then that will raise the PSI where the HPR will sweetspot.....is that about right?
