Does anyone know the weight difference between a ss and aluminum freak barrel back? I'm curious if there is a substantial weight difference.

Figured that since it’s what you said, but it was worth clarifying.
Its definitely a noticeable difference. I couldn’t tell you the actual difference in ounces or grams but it will seriously affect the balance of your gun. If you’re familiar with the weight of the old boomstick, it’s about like that.Comment

It's not that bad. You make it sound like you won't be able to keep the gun level.Figured that since it’s what you said, but it was worth clarifying.

He didn’t say it was good or bad, just that it affects the balance, which it certainly would if it were a lighter gun.Comment

"Seriously" affect. I read that as a negative implication, and one that depicts a marker wobbling everywhere as the poor user desperately attempts to maintain the marker's equilibrium.

Not at all what I was trying to imply. I just meant "seriously" as in "very noticeable." With some guns, having a heavy barrel really helps balance out the gun. Classic valved mags being a great example.
It's certainly a bigger difference than an aluminum barrel compared to a carbon fiber barrel.Comment
