I'm tired of playing in workboots and thinking of going more paintball specific... what's out there? Is it better to snag some other-sports-specific footwear like football cleats, or is there something mind-blowing on the market that won't break the bank but also last longer than a season?

I really like my low cut Keens hikers , they're waterproof, and have that big overbuilt toe, like their sandals do.
if you needed more ankle support, I'd guess they can also be had in a mid cut'96 RF Mini Cocker, '95 RF Autococker, 68-Automag Classic, Banzai Splash Minimag, Gen-E Matrix, Shoebox Shocker 4x4, Montneel Z-1, Tippmann Pro-Carbine, Tippmann Mini-Lite, Tippmann Model-98, Tippmann 68-Special, Spyder .50 cal Opus/Opus-A , Tippmann .50 Cal Cronus , Gog Enmey .50 cal , Tippmann Vert ASA 68-Carbine, Bob Long Millennium, ICD Grey Green Marble Splash Alleycat Deluxe (runs liquid co2) , Halfblock 2K4 Prostock Autococker , 2K RF Sniper II

You know, I've been playing in football cleats for the past couple of years, and while they certainly have their advantages(ankle support being a huge one for me, but also great outright grip on grass), I have been thinking about going with something like a pair of hiking shoes for the more forested fields.Originally posted by Terry A. I've been using Solomon speed cross 3 for years. They are cheap ($50ish) they have an aggressive tread but it's still a rubber sole so you don't have to worry about rocks/wet logs/concrete nearly as much as you do with dedicated cleats
The ones I have in just now replacing and I think it's been 3 years. I haven't exactly been nice to them either

Merrell Moab 3 Mid Waterproof/Vibrum soles. Light with reasonable support (bad ankles) and I have been using them for paintball for around 3-4 years and they have held up well. I do waterproof because I hate wet feet and tend to play woods ball mostly. These a fairly breathable and really do not have too much problem with my feet getting excessively hot.

I've been playing in my old motorcycle boots for over a decade and wouldn't play in anything else ...
big tall ankle support has saved my feet from twist and turn while running around more time than I care to remember đź‘ŤLove my brass ... Love my SSR ... Hard choices ...

I've been eyeballing Inov8 trail boots for a while, but they're so expensive...
I've been using Altra Superiors, but need a bit more middle I think. They're very thin.Feedback

I prefer Altras that have the Altra Ego Max midsole. Right now I have a pair of Timp 4, Torin 5 Luxe, and an older pair of Olympus with the Altra Ego Max midsole. When the Timps wear out I'm going to try the Mont Blanc BOA.
I wear the Torin 5 Luxe to work. I think I'm on my 3rd pair and will be due for 4th soon.
