Are there any inline regs that go between the tank and the ASA?

I'm looking to drop the pressure going to my magfed setup, and I'd rather not replace the tank valve for an adjustable one if I don't have to. I'm thinking if I can spring the gun lighter, I can get a little bit better efficiency.

The only things I can find, though, are those sketchy looking Chinese ones for airguns. And I'm not even convinced that they're regulators at all. They look more like flow controls.

There are a few different pass through options, the most well known probably being the PPS CART, though you may struggle to find one of those. Sheridan made one, I think Tippmann did too. I believe I have a few of them lying around that I'd sell for cheap if you wanted to give it a shot.

Sheridan is the rg1 . I think there was a CMI copy? They were alright but not great, poor recharge rate iirc. A lot of pumpers used em back in the day as well as for the back bottle on vectors especially ones that weren’t “thruster ready”.

If he's using it on a magfed setup I imagine it would be okay. I use a RG1 on my pumps in the summer to mitigate 12g CO2 spikes and it works well enough.

I might be missing what you're actually trying to do here... but what about a reg/ASA combo? Spyder made one, old Max-Flos, PPS female Stablizer, not sure how many others there were. And if you're planning to run a remote line you could just leave the bottle in your pack w/a female Stablizer attached & install a check valve for an on/off.

So get a CP reg, put a vertical adaptor on the bottom.

Bam, male tank threads on output, female tank threads on the input, adjustable regulator in-between

Personally I'd be either replacing or shimming the tank regulator but if you are looking to avoid that this would work

What are you putting it on? Sounds like a female stabilizer might be what you're looking for

I have an internal air kit. In this pic, I have a gas-through stock, but now I run 15ci tanks. Using any normal vertical hpr ain't gonna work.

I also have an egrips, which I like to switch between semi and 3-shot burst, which is at 10bps. So the recharge needs to be ok, but nothing crazy. Maybe I'll look into the RG-1.

Will that grip take an A5 ass block? Are you using a remote? You could put an inline in the Ada and run remote from that.

In running a 15ci tank. The remote stock is for renegade if the compressor is down. I can use my 68/4500 when I empty my 15/4500

Basically, I need something with female tank threads for input, and male tank threads for output, and preferably keep it in a short package.

have you considered just getting a new tank reg that is adjustable?

I have but they're $100ish bucks. I was hoping I could do the same thing cheaper.

Plus I always feel weird messing with tank valves. I can remove and replace them, but I don't like to. Lol

Just pony up for another tank reg. None of the options for what you want are worth using and they are not adjustable either.

I don't know that you will be able to run a Tippmann on a pressure that is worth regulating down (200psi drop) with just springs. A high pressure MaxFlo with an ASA and an output to remote line sounds like it would fit the bill anyway.

I have a zero kick hammer and a lightened valve spring. I just want to get low enough that the lightened spring is useful. The MCS flexi-air valve has surprisingly deep air channels. Like they went and did all of the usual mods that people have been doing for flow. I think it could be a decent setup.

The lightened spring will make a difference regardless if you are using a regulator or not.

I don't think it will, and here's why. Like when you sweet spot an Autococker, there's a point in which you can increase the pressure so much that you'll decrease velocity. i.e., the input pressure over powers the spring and holds the valve closed.

I think that's what's happening in my marker. I'm hitting a point where I cannot overcome the input pressure in order to make use of a lighter spring.

This is one of the reasons I tend to avoid the gas thru tank in stock setups. That and bottom line setups leave more room for masks. But anyways, with the tank in a more traditional paintball location, and having a gosh darn hose in the mix, you have multiple options for regulator placement. This one has a bottom-line female reg (which at the moment needs a rebuild, ugh), but this setup could also have a male regulator vertical behind the magazine.

Yeah, but I kinda like the drop stock on mine.

What the heck kind of trigger frame is that? I've never seen one before.
