    Nelspot 12g pin seal.

Hello folks , could someone recommend an alternative to the original seal. The ones I see for sale are 40 years old or astronomically priced. Thanks 😊

Nylon or rubber washers from your local hardware store?

How about some homemade 12g pierce seals courtesy of splattttttt(RIP) via the wayback machine. 😉

Any chance you are located near South Windsor, CT? I have some I can part with. PM me.

This sounds stupid but it works. Take a high temp hot glue stick and cut a thin disk off of it with a razor blade. Use a hole punch or appropriate size drill bit and make a hole for the pierce pin.
I have done this in may Nelspots and 12g changers with great results.

You can make one out of a CCI pierce and a vented set screw. I still have the stuff to make one more, I think; last time I tried it was a bear to thread the pierce pin (needed high sulfur tap oil and a fixture) but doable.

Set screws are hardened, so it will be very difficult to drill.
