noob question: reg pressure tester

so the slide check is to add a bleed correct? online explanation is confusing, which i think reads “to bleed something in front, while maintaining pressure behind the check”. the cp direct mount has a bleed, so im just ginna go with what i have so far then

On the one I put together, yes, the slide check is like a bleed valve for the gauge. That's why I had to do some fittings gymnastics to connect it in the right direction. The slide check works really well for cycling the source over and over again to see how consistent the output is.
