I'm not real familiar with the palmer's valve. Is it just a stepped valve pin so it cannot go further than needed into the valve body? All my current valves pins are same diameter throughout.

The middle of the pin is narrower so air can get to the bolt faster, and instead of flats on the back, there's a small hole next to the pin for blowback gas.
It's a better design, but it's not revolutionary. It's still a Spyder valve. Not like a VS2 balanced valve.Feedback

It's a bit of a throwback to the original VM-68 valves, where there's a dedicated port for blowback gasses rather than an open flat through the back.
I can't find the old PBNation threads anymore, but I distinctly remember the community conclusion being that the big efficiency gains with the Eko valve weren't illusory, and that the ~1600 shots per 20oz claims Kingman were making were, if anything, a little conservative.Last edited by The Inflicted; 06-18-2023, 07:05 PM.Comment

The efficiency gains have more to do with the face at the rear of the valve pin being pressed on by the gas pulse when the valve is open, creating additional force to close the valve; faster closing valve -> less gas wasted. Indeed, nothing revolutionary, but an improvement over the usual < 2k9 setup.Comment
