considering that, I'm pretty sure this thing is stock, any other things I should look at doing to it that will improve it?

I'd try a bit of oil, air it up, and see if it shoots. At that point, just rock a Trilly.

If you want to get a bit creative, getting the barrel Freak bored to prevent rollouts and possibly a clamping feedneck mod from superman .

Not the prettiest markers out there but they do work well. Getting a clamping feedneck modification would be one of my first modifications.

with this being such a low end cocker, is it worth putting upgrades into this?

Keep in mind this is a sport so there is no regulator and the valve is designed to run at co2 pressure , unlike the rest of the trilogies which had regs and the valve ran at lower pressure.

I agree with the sentiment of air it up and go from there

The valve for the sport can be modded pretty easily especially if it is done when it comes in for a feedneck mod.

I think that is only a question you can answer for yourself. Builds like this can be fun just ask Magmoormaster

Ok got it over to the local shop. Gassed up but promptly was leaking some where in the lower section. So it probably needs some o-rings. Unfortunately I have now had a snag in the disassembly as the rear screw of the frame is effectively stripped. So I'm going to have to work out a way to get it off.

I love these things, they sorta have a cult following, these are great markers, alot of people don't like the 1.5 frames but I like them cause i have smaller hands and parts are proprietary without adapters, the valve spring is pretty much a spyder spring, oh and autococker purists don't like them cause the 3 way isn't adjustable

Even among Trilogy fans, the Sport model isn’t really sought after. But I think they’re nice as-is. No HPR to rebuild, just run straight bottle pressure with either gas. I think the Sport models are great for those who REALLY don’t want to do any tuning or rebuilding whatsoever. It’s basically a Tippmann in that regard. I wouldn’t mind having one again just in case I want to shoot a cocker & not mess with anything or worrying about rebuilding regulators.

The only thing I’d do with a Sport model is maybe get a plastic bolt to reduce reciprocating mass. But why “upgrade” something that is designed to be as simple as it can be? Why add variables like regulators & adapters? You can get another cocker for that & keep this one dead-nuts simple for those days you need something to just work. The beauty of the Sport is that it DOESN’T need those things. The Competition & Pro models already do that job nicely, running at lower pressures (a wee bit subjective, but still) & having more tunability with two regs instead of just one.

Cause this is MCB we don't do stock around here 😂, I totally agree but tbh plenty of sports have been hacked up and built so idk why people continue to say that

nah trilogies are junk. They should all be tossed in the trash.

Nah I kid. They’re my favorite guns. I agree with others in the thread that most upgrades aren’t worth the time and money, and I’ve upgraded almost everything on mine. A feedneck mod, a good barrel, maybe an on/off or a different trigger. But different LPRs, bolts, etc, don’t matter.

The leak you’re getting is most likely the valve orings. I imagine the urethane has turned to gum. Getting the stripped screw out is going to be a pain though. Supposedly you can use rubber bands but I’ve never really tried it.

I will say if you ever go this deep just know that parts may not all just bolt on perfectly, like on this i have to shave the back of the front block so it seals against the body and add a small shim underneath to keep it from rocking, oh and I don't think the bolt that came with this will work on this body, i dont think derlin pins are good for this either but guess ima find out, it's always gonna be something until your finished with it
