    CCM lowers in a Meteor?

Hoping to leverage some expertise on this. I’d like to put CCM SS25 lowers in my Meteor autococker pump. I talked to Laurie about it and she isn’t sure if they’ll work or not. I know that the Meteor has an 11/16ths valve which CCM can provide. Outside of that, I can’t think of why it wouldn’t work but I’m guessing I’m missing something.

Do any of you happen to know if CCM SS25 lower internals would work in pumped Meteor autococker or not? Thank you in advance for any and all help; I really appreciate it.

Yes, I've put a CCM 11/16 valve in a Meteor. I had to pushed it out through the front and install it that way vs through the back of the lower tube.

Good to know - thank you. I remember your posting on that now..did the default spring and hammer combo that CCM provides work as well or did you have to use a different set of springs/a different hammer?

CCM springs and hammer worked as well

this valve on meteor's site looks like a normal 11/16th valve to me so the ccm one should fit

I would wait for the new meteor low pressure Red Chamber and Valve. I've been testing a prototype valve and it's very nice. I also tried a few 11/16 in there including, aka (doesn't like to fit), ccm works well for pump, palmers, and recently the new dye laz valve (which does fit, no findings to report yet). Personally I prefer to run a meteor at higher pressure 350psi, I fount it most consistent over the chromo at this pressure.

Interesting - I didn’t know that they were coming out with a low pressure version. Great to know - thank you!

I went and shot the dye valve in the meteor, shooting reball with .678 barrel, 290fps @300psi, tall boy hammer (49.6g) and a very light main spring. I had to push the timing all the way back in the pull to allow for the extra time the hammer needed to accelerate with the light spring.

It sounds like some not so pleasant tuning would be involved in swapping the lowers. I’ll just stick with the meteor lowers +/- 8 over the chrono isn’t a big enough variance to go through all of that. I really appreciate the info - thank you. You just saved me money and time
