What hammer and spring kit for laz valve

Check out the paintball news thread for the latest intel on the lazarus here on mcb. Pretty cool stuff goin on.mozak is working on a new titanium hammer now in the experimental stage.

I personally wouldn't go the titanium hammer route. It is heavier than aluminum. Titanium didn't go very well when freeflow did them years ago. Jason went with delrin hammers and a light spring.
-
i thought it was extreme rage that did the titanium their major downside being the tolerances were as good as ER was known for... I used one for awhile to great effect on an e-bladed cocker to reduce some of the cycling mass
the hammers that didn't work out well with freeflow that i recall were the solid tungsten ones (not like the mjolnir hammers that are ss with a tungsten core) they were so hard that they were eating up the bottom tubes

How does a derlin hammer with stand all the abuse though i figured derlin would just get hammered to death

I have it in a Merlin with plenty of volume and it is very consistent.
This valve runs marginally lower pressure than my AKA valves in similar guns but I don't care about that at all. The good part for me is the ease of obtaining a super light trigger break, which I usually tune for. Light main springs are super nice, but can require a heavier hammer. This valve allows for super light hammer and super light springs.
I am concerned about the Lazarus valve durability/service needs compared to a regular valve (like AKA or ID). But it was relatively low cost to get one to play around with. I am not a DYE fan, but so far I like this product.

Definitely stocking the Phat Rats. ST valves are historically excellent and I am confident these will be too.
Haven't played around with them yet to see what is really effective with them. If you have I would be interested to hear your findings.

Not yet, I have valves on hand, but havent dropped it in anything yet. I actually got one of the beta valves originally. planned to build my riptide around it, but still waiting on a raw frame to send it to ano. I may have to drop it into something else to tinker with, or maybe ill order some tooling to 11/16 mod a body.

Yall keep bringing up maintenance and reliability, I mean what does it matter if a cup seal or orings go out you still have to pull apart the marker to fix it, and I mean maintenance wise couldn't you just drop a couple of drops of oil down the asa each time before play
Would a cup seal outlast orings, yeah by a long shot but i mean that doesnt really bother me

And we'll I ordered the laz valve guess I'll use it for now and maybe pick up a fat rat to mess with later
How does the palmers valve compare to the laz and the phat rat i have one of those sitting that came with my pump

Dragging this one up from a 6 month slumber..
I dropped a Lazarus valve with a jenni Craig hammer into one of my resurrections, it's not wanting to get over 220ish fps no matter the pressure, or the bolt (which has previously had an effect)
I had a nice conversation with Jason at supergame who has done a lot of testing, he says they can run fine at pretty extreme pressures for what they should be at (400 psi)
The valve is a lot less pressure dependent than impact dependent, and I just don't think the delin is cutting it for my needs, so due a series of fortunate events, I was able to get a titanium hammer mid block slotted, I'll let you know how it works out when I get it out for some testing

I've never had delrin swell in the heat.. however, depending on how tight the fit is in the first place, it wouldn't take much swelling at all for all hell to break loose like even .001 could cause a bind, and where I live black plastic in the sun gets hot enough to pass it's glass transition temp.. so the idea of it getting so hot it can swell enough to create some issues with close tolerances isn't an unreasonable one.
BIt in my personal experience, euralyte is the the plastic I have had the most problems with

you can change the springs in the Laz valve for different setups. I have spring rates going from 2-lbs/in up to 16-lbs/in for both laz valve springs and hammer springs. Depending on the many variables, valve chamber size, reg flow rate, hammer weight, and spring rates, how fast the back pressure builds- each marker has slightly different needs. For example in a trillogy, If you want to drop to the 160 psi range and not have 10fps swings each shot, increase the spring rate in the Laz valve.
