Iv been building a mech cocker and a pump but I really want to build a mag, I know there's alot of frames that fit them my question is which ones fit and which dont, idk for some reason while walking the dog I had the idea of maybe trying a Timmy clamshell on one, haven't seen it done yet

I don't think ia Timmy frame is rigid enough to use with out some internal structure..... They and with what they sell for now cost preventative. -

rawbutter has a lot of experience adapting non-Mag frames to Mags so might be able to give you some idea what is worth going after. A lot of original Autococker/Sniper frames can be adapted to a mag quiet easily especially those that used the early swing trigger based on Sheridan triggers.

Frame screw spacing between mags and cockers is identical. The trigger pivot would be in the timing slot. You'd also have to drill the front of the frame for the twist lock if you're going that route.Comment

Using an Ion frame is fairly straightforward, if you have a drill press, a 1/8" npt thread tap, and a transfer punch.Comment

I put a dye/PB autococker frame on a mag. All I had to do was dremel the crap out of the interior of the frame and then the trigger itself. Looked like crap.Comment

It was an idea, I didn't know you had to worry about the twist lock barrel and all that, I thought it might be as simple as dremeling out a frame and drilling a hole or 2Comment

I agree with Jordan about the reliability aspect. On my dremeled dye frame it just... it shot but it was a little off. I can't describe what it was but it wasn't the same old reliable mag shot I was used to.Comment

This might be why mag tinkers go the pnuemag route. Shoots just as fast as an electro minus the battery or eyes. With LVL 10 bolt and plenty air you don't need eyes. There are some hoops to dunk but otherwise pretty easy. A few members on AO sell Kits.
