    BT Sa-17 quick change improvement

I remember seeing someone post about a way to improve the SA-17 12 gram drop. I believe it involves removing one of the clasps?

does anyone remember or have suggestions?

    thanks

Yeah I pulled them out. The cartidge falls in faster and drops out faster too. The SA-17 was tricky sometimes. Like the neck of the 12 gram would miss the hole and jam up against the edge of the seal. I would drop a empty, flip the pistol upside down but at a upward angle, and drop the cart in neck first so it would line up perfect and the lever would not jam. .

Yeah I believe so. I know for sure the middle one I took out. Honestly the other two may have been already taken out when I got mine. Been too long.

      Pull these 2 out 👍
Now watch out when opening the door if the 12g is not empty, it will fly out!
Those were added after a accident (lawsuit?) happened. The early ones didn't have them and were recalled.

Oh that makes sense why I don't recall mine ever having them. I never had the fear I would open it when still pressureized. Not something you would ever accidentally do if you are paying attention. .

          Thank you!

yeah, definitely not a quick change with those clasps.

Almost need a workbench and tools to change 12 grams.

          Ripping those out now

          thanks again

I love the SA-17, but this "safety" makes it nearly unusable in games ...

Yeah, the original run of those pistols were recalled and only had 1 of those kind of clips but it was more of a guide than a clip on them....After someone got injured they were recalled and after that they all came with 2 clips that grabbed way too hard and nullified the quick changer. It's basically a slam changer once the clips are removed
