    CO2 on off valve question

Dumb question I feel like I should know the answer to, but I have a nice CO2 tank with SP on off valve I don't need. Want to check if it has any air, I imagine you have to screw it into an ASA first, then open the valve?

Nope. Just use the on off knob and crack it open a bit. If there is CO2 in there, then you'll hear/see it.

I don't think it needs to be in an ASA unless it's a Schraeder valve (pin valve).
If it doesn't need a pin depressor, you should be able to open & close the valve by hand and see if anything comes out.
Just point it away from anything and be quick.

First, make sure your eye is directly over the valve. Like less than an inch away. Open as wide as you can, you only get one chance to see inside. Turn the tank upside down, you want to make sure the liquid is at the bottom so you can see it well. Then open the valve as wide as you can so you can see inside.
