        Forgive this Old Caveman for not knowing how to attach a link. Youtube has several very good complete disassembly videos. The barrel tip is threaded but not the base. Meaning some creative and industrious individuals with the appropriate skill sets, access to materials and lightly tethered to sanity could replace the barrel completely with something more impressive. Maybe even a freak kit?

            There's tinkering, and then there's fixing problem from the factory. I think this thing easily falls into the second category
