The keymod handguard was designed / released around 2012. The tragedy of this product is all the effort to get the body right but, then to require a hopper (and giant feedneck). All of this happening as MagFed was rising in popularity.

That occured with several great guns around the time this was likely made... Tm7, Bob long mtac, even the phenom.

I believe most of those, if not all, released before the First Strike round (2009), and there was a minor interest in MagFed at that time (especially in the U.S.) (and they have my sympathy). After the first strike round is where you see most magfed markers released and this specific gun was released no earlier than 2012, given that it has KeyMod slots.

I saw your response in the comments. In the early 2010s (when I suspect this one was made), there were incoming shipments of airsoft guns that were made so realistic in their construction (not just their looks) that they got the attention of the ATF got involved. The stock does have a Daniel Defense logo on it. I did some research on that and they make stocks for AR15s. I’m not really sure if the whole body is AR though

A lot of the AR-15 like paintball guns had/have the capability to take real steel accessories (stocks, pistol grips handguards).

It sure looks like it's a legit AR body but also if that were true I don't see how they have such low serial numbers or for their own logo on it

Judging by the A or keyhole forge mark just under the picatinny on the right hand side, it appears that Reaper Custom used at least two different upper suppliers It's interesting that the feedneck lengths are different with the earlier serial number having a shorter (more reasonable) feedneck length.

Is the shell ejector port actually a milled opening? In airsoft guns, they often don't mill this through- sometimes just have a blank side or, even the shape of a a bolt surfaced (to simulate the look of a bolt being in there).

The lower receiver may be an 80% real 'steel' design. I say that because there's a missing pin hole where the trigger rotates. Airsoft guns usually have this hole.

Interesting business idea buy 80% lower receivers (wtihout FFL related expenses, and regulation) mill them only enough to receive the necessary parts for an automag trigger assembly (and put the Reaper Custom branding on them). Mill out an airsoft upper receiver and, stuff an automag in there.

How common are reversed automag valves (air input on left side) I only found one. That may lead to finding out something about this company. Maybe post this over to the Automags.org forum. Somebody might know someone buying a bunch of left hand valves.

It'd be interesting to see this thing taken apart.

It's easy to get ar uppers and lowers with no serials etc. They are still cheap. That isn't a mystery. It's all gunna be real steel parts because they cost the same in most cases as any airsoft part. Good trigger groups good sights and optics and barrels and bolt carrier groups of name brand can cost some money but they aren't needed or used here.
