    Autococker detents

I have had this 2k cocker pump and autococker threaded mag for quite sometime. And have been swapping the red detent between the two markers whenever I needed to use it. But recently I decided that they need their own detents so I picked a cp detent from ans. I am not sure if its operator malfunction but I cannot get the black cp detent further then a half turn into either gun before it becomes near impossible to screw in. With it a half turn in, its not far enough in to do anything. The red detent on the other hand screws in several times and works perfectly. Can anyone help me out? I assume it was the wrong detent but ans says its for all cockers. thoughts?

Double check the threads on the new detent and see if there's an issue. I've had issues with threading before and I just couldn't get it started properly. Just don't force it as you don't want to mess up the detent threads!

The CP detent may be for an Angel.

CP detents shoot out. I use Docs Machine detents almost exclusively.

Nigh-indestructible one-piece stainless steel body with a non-marring Delrin ball. Carefully hand-polished to a high shine by our team of trained Ecuadorian Buffing Monkeys! Fits virtually all 'Cockers and even a few markers that aren't 'Cockers.

I recently returned a CP cocker detent to ANS for the same reason. I ordered an different one and it screwed in but with more force than I would expect. I think the anno on the CP threads may make the thread out of spec

I've had 2 CP detents, first one shot out about 10 shots in. ANS replaced immediately and 2nd one has been fine with probably 3-4 cases shot through it so far. Both were a little tight to thread in, noticeably harder than the stock one.

I would use doc detents or PPS detents both of which are low profile and simple and do their job. Nummech looks nice but I don't love having a regular steel bolt head integrated to the design.

The CP detent has a pretty weak return spring as well. I highly suggest that if you choose to go that way make sure to leave the back block/bolt open a little (not cocked) so that the detent isn't constantly pressed while not in use. Another tip with those is the spring will rust. I drop a touch of oil in one each use and it's lasted for years with these two small precautions.
I will say they have had a far higher failure rate than any other I can recall using.

                    Step 1- go here https://docsshop.storenvy.com/collec...er-ball-detent

Step 2- buy as many as you need then add one more

Step 3- install into side of marker and go mow face
