It's currently mount3d to the bottom of a tippman A-5. What would I need to mount it onto an Automag Classic RT?
Thinking about picking up a Q-loader.....

Thats not an a5. Thats a loader branded marker in and of itself. Basically a tippmann, but in a nicely machined body.
Id honestly just rock that thing. What's the seller asking for that kit? Id be interested in the marker if it was cheap enough. I think they are anodizable.
But to answer your question. You would likely need to fab a new mount tab to work between the mag vasa mount, and rail. Or a clamp mount that grips the vasa itself. Then a new power feed plug assuming you have a power feed body. ( like a warp plug) and or associated elbows to get into the feedneck.
On that note, and member here rutz777 bought the old stock of q loader kits. And he sells them on his website. You could buy a new kit and affix it to the mag rather than take that q loader and disassemble it.

Thanks for the mention @BrickHaus!
That is an Qloader SSI paintball marker, it uses A5 internals and is essentially a body kit made to direct feed the Qloader pods from below.
Wicked_Silence I actually have quite a few of those marker body kits new, as well as the Qloader kits, feel free to message me if you need any parts you can’t find on the website!

Qloaders are quirky beasts...
I have a set to go with a qsi (their bottom fed a5 and gun seen here) and never got the loaders to work reliably enough to use the gun.

He is asking $150 CAN for it. I was just thinking on using the q-loader and parting out the marker itself, but now that you point out that the q-loader is part of the marker, I am going to have to rethink it.Thats not an a5. I was able to mount one to a pieced together Longbow a couple years ago. Cant find any photos at the moment, but I used the same bracket as seen here:

If he would ship the the US, I would buy that just for all the wacky shit I could try with that bottom feed.Comment

I have a couple of Qloader SSI markers ready to go if you’re ever interested, or just body kits as well. The body kits just need A5 internals plus a 98 strike bolt (because it has a cocking rod) and it’s good to go, they are pretty fun. -
Well he won't but if I don't like it, I might. The only issue is the tarrif thing. It may or may not be worth it.

After fitting a Qloader system to three different guns, I suspect the SSI is the best possible implementation due to the direct and non-changing feed path, and gravity keeping any un-tensioned balls down and out of the breach. A lower spring tension (because of the direct mount) would also lead to slower/lower ball compression. Two problems I see that the SSI cannot solve and both related to paint size:
1. More than one ball fitting in the breach. Because the second ball in the stack is under firm pressure, you're looking at a guaranteed ball clip with a Tippmann (and a lot of other guns).
2. More than an even number of balls fitting in the ball stack, possible clipping and, possible ball chopping on pod removal.Originally posted by Tom Kaye, in response to FS price critics:
Unfortunately all of you have played the one "speedball" game of paintball for so long you can't conceive of other ways to do this and hence any new ideas seem stupid.

Thanks for the info. Love the Tom Kaye Quote. He is Aman ahead of his time with his designs. Actually got to meet him in the early 2000s while reffing an I.A.O. event at the industry party and was privileged enough to hear him speak at great length about the industry as a whole.Last edited by Wicked_Silence; 04-30-2026, 11:35 PM.

Well, I grabbed it. Needs a little love but in amazing condition for it being as old as it is. Even came with an extra Smart Parts barrel that is just as long as the stock one. Now I just gotta figure out the E-Trigger and stuff as that why he sold it.
He said he bought it, it worked for 1 game and the trigger stopped working, so he replaced it, played another game and again, the trigger stopped working. He put it up after that and there it sat. So it's possible that other then some potential dry firing. It's only seen maybe 3 games.Comment
