    Landshark

Ok MCB. Picked up a few things locally. This was in the bundle. Only thing I could find online was an article from dan@paintballhistory.

From that looks like this was similar to the PMI Tracer, ACI Mavericks, few others and from 1990. Seems that the Landshark is a bit more rare than the others.

Anyone have more info on these to share. And what is worth.

Barrel:fixed. Does that mean it should be unibody? Like the old phantoms.

This one is not. The barrel comes off.

Yes...fixed means unibody. Can we get a picture of the barrel threads. I've tried zooming-in on your pictures. I can't tell where the body stops and the barrel starts. All I see is where the pump stoke wear is.

Honestly don't know much about it, but I love it!

Standard Winter style frame from the day, bushmaster style pump, longer pump arm than I would have thought, cool laser engraved sight. Unibody for sure, really cool old school type gun. Definitely dig it.

Thank you good Sir! Now I'm just trying to figure out what the threads are...F1 or Angel look the closest that I can tell. Is it too much to ask for another pic with a ruler?....😁

I half expected it to be a weird hybrid non-threaded/grip frame screw retention system or something of the like. You might need to do some glamour shots(of the marker) to add them to VintageRex.

Could be Taso threads, since they more than likely made the gun for ags.

Your probably right. Just found this Taso threaded Scorpion barrel on Bacci's site.

What long pump arms you have Landshark!

And the logo is really neat.

Wintec Slider frames are my favorite frame on a Nelson Clone. Could use some cleaning up but given it already has a removable barrel this is a great candidate for modernizing. I would expect the barrel ID is somewhere north of 0.690 so having it Freak bored is fairly obvious. Given those long pump arms there will be room below to potentially install a ball detent for prevention of double feeds or as I have done on one of my old LAPCOs installed a wire detent above the pump are along the driver sides of the body. It has an AR style grip attachment which opens it up for all sorts of different grips tailored to your preference. Barrel is not turned down to do a hidden pump return spring but that would be simple to have done while getting the barrel Freak bored. As others have said a cool piece. You could restore it for historical value or you could modify it to bring it up to current "standards". I expect under the Hockey tape there are stripped out screws but doing inserts is an easy fix.

Value, if it is cleaned up and working it will top out at $150 but you might wait quite a while for a buyer. In current state $75, and fully modded out $400 potentially.

I would keep it and build it up into a modern open class Nelson Clone (I like to play with my markers not really into collecting wall hangers). If you get interested in liquidating give me a howler. I could add it to my menagerie of partially completed or not started projects.

No, I'm betting Bacci was though. They are vere obscure guns. I'm not really much of a nelson fan and I mostly only collect wgp stuff or things still in their boxes now.

I hope to do that this weekend. Yeah she needs a good rebuild/cleaning. Will likely give it a good WD40 soaking.

Who did you did you get to do the freak boring and detent.

Do you think doing that will take away from this being 1990 era.

ahhh, its a paintball gun, it is meant to be used modify away. I see no purpose in wall hangers but that is me. Restored it could be used but with the small ass paint would be more frustration at the field the it is worth I am guessing. Because this is a less common old school marker is the only reason I would want it and then modify it. I have modern markers, a modified old school marker has more meaning and interest for me.

Freak Boring - BMC Fabrication - https://www.bmcfabricationservice.com/ He even modified a LAPCO Grey Ghost not too long ago to cut down a uni-body marker make an A/C thread barrel out of what was cut off [and did an excellent job]. I am sure you could get him to turn down the barrel to allow room for a pump spring Then you would still have to make an insert for the pump handle and come up with or make a over the barrel spring. For the wire detent I milled it myself with a manual mill at work. I have not done a ball detent to date and it would not have to be a ball it could be a Spyder or PE detent but those you would have to figure out a retainer.

Great find. This one is like an earlier example since it has the wintec frame and the aluminum pump, similar to what David Craig (AGS) was using on his Bloodsuckers after AGS and Taso Split. You can see in this article the advertised style:
Documenting Paintball Stories, Paintball Guns, People and Companies with articles, videos and interviews about Paintball History.

Mine has different threads and the delrin pump as well as the WWP spec frame and valve body. I'm missing the sight rail though.

Yeah that is the same article I came across. That handle is not delrin, freaking heavy and solid for sure. Can knock out someone with it.
