Pump tournament interest?

What in the world are you guys talking about? They donāt even make guns without auto trigger aside from Azodin. Are you going to ban all Trracers, Phantoms, Sterlings, and Carters while clipping everyoneās AT levers on snipers or are you just going to film it all at high speed and disqualify them later F1 style? Is it just for DIY guns that you couldnāt get the AT working on? I have a really nice sniper like that so I can for sure play.
But if you want to play stock, play stock. Inventing a new class, āNo AT pumpā class, isnāt going to increase your turnout. Fragmenting scenes doesnāt make them bigger it makes them smaller.

As for how to regulate it? Simple, we don't. We list the rules and let the referees do their job.
I would rather fragment the scene and have a few less bodies on the rotation and have the tournament stick to the roots of pump - snapshooting, aggressive moves, sneaky-ness, etc. than play with folks who lean into laning with their autotriggers and make the game more about volume rather than precision. If we play by our standards (and clearly have a blast doing it) then other's interest will be piqued and we will gain momentum. If we play a certain way just to appease the agglets then why even do it in the first place? Even if you get more of the "grey area" players you will lose a good chunk of the limited paint players.
You may be surprised by how many minds you can change with leading by example. There have been quite a few speedball freaks who have started playing stock class events because they see how much fun we're having, I reckon we could do something similar with this.š PK x Ragnastock š

I would definitely be interested in playing. I personally donāt care about the a/t being present. I have played against them in pump games and saw no advantage.most stock guys play electros on any given open day at a local field. I personally think auto triggering decreases accuracy, and the guys I have played against only need one shot usually for an elimination.I will play regardless of rules ,if I can make it, and thanks for asking about this proposal Corey.

Apparently you guys have so many pumpers in your area that you experience problems Iāve never experienced since Iām usually the only pumper out there. For me AT is more of a sound effect as I rarely ever hit anyone with it. Iāve actually hit someone with it maybe 20 times in 30 years of play and Iām %100 sure Iāve never been hit by anyone elseās AT barrage.
Comparing to mech is quite silly as accuracy during ATing, even on the smoothest of guns, is very hard to achieve, and the ROF hard to get above maybe 6bps. Even a Walmart Spyder clone has more rain making ability.

The answer is Iām not, Iām just being dog piled on by a clique that you are part of which taints your perception. I submitted no insults that I can see reviewing my post. Asking if someone is joking is not an insult. You just donāt like what Iām saying so you confuse it as one. āYou are stupid for not allowing auto trigger.ā Is an insult. āWhy are you always so negativeā is more of a grey area unless it becomes extremely repetitive which is certainly is from some people who INSIST on relentless positivity on certain key subjects.
Overallā¦I see what you guys are getting at. When you have enough pump players around where you can make up your own local rules and still get people naturally you will. Itās impossible to even get a single game of 5 on 5 of anything not semi in my area so I knew nothing of your situation. It sounds like heaven.

I dig man, we can only speak from our own experiences. We in the northeast are fortunate to have a very healthy pump player group across a bunch of different fields so we can be a bit more particular. If you ever make it out this way give us a shout, we play just about every weekend and would be happy to have you join us!

Jokes aside, in a tournament format, as legitimate as HeavyC is looking to make it, my fear is to say āNo A/Tā is going to be a lot more difficult for a ref to call out mid-game. I understand we do this in all of our other pump events, but those all have a more casual feel than a ātournament.ā
With that said, Iām discussing logistics and rules with Corey privately, and I also talk regularly to Jonnydread and Chuck E Ducky for all of my paintball questions, as I trust their judgement most in this department.
And by āserious,ā I donāt mean heās looking to take the fun out of it, I just mean tournament vs casual. So donāt read too much into my phrasing.
With all of that said, this thread was looking to gage interest (not another AT debate) and it seems as though there is some.
