Going to the field by yourself, and camo

I play mostly alone because most of my friends aren't into paintball anymore. Woodsball guys definitely still wear camo, brighter jerseys and guns are more for speedballlers. Look for specific pump/mech or Stockclass events. So you can befriend guys you see at events. We have a great community in the Northeast.

Our team plays mostly scenario games but I often go to the local field alone. When I go I tend to wear jeans and t shirt with my paintball boots. I feel like I look more approachable to new players dressed like this.

I've seen people in full matching secret squirrel gear and i've seen em in cut up tank tops and cutoffs, happy to see anyone who's cool and fun to play with on the field don't care if they're wearing a potato sack

I've got two different jersey/mask combos. One is a Coogi sweater themed jersey which is a series of a bright colors and a bright blue/pink mask. The other is urban/regular camo jersey and mask. Partially I choose based off of the weather, but I mostly pick based off of how much of a target I want to be. Some days it's nice to have every eye on you an engage in firefights, other days it's nice to feel sneaky. Whether people are wearing camo or bright speedball colors mostly depends on the local fields offerings and the culture of the field.

As far as playing alone I regularly go to my local field by myself and see regulars I have fostered relationships with. It was a bit intimidating at first, but now I'm part of the local fields scenario team and joined a discord where we organize events. When I travel in a group it's usually when Jonnydread chauffers me to a pump meetup at extreme or pnl...

If you can make the drive. Roodhouse IL has a great field called PaintballToGo. They are a private game field that does now 3 scenario events a year. Amazing staff and players. Very few fudds and chuds. They just want it to be a fun non serious game. Lots of old players come. So tons of awesome old gear on the field. I want to make it for Pirates Plunder Sept 27-29th. .
