    Disclaimer: I work graveyard.

    Answer: Something else

Last year on Friday morning I woke up at 12AM. I got packed up and headed out for my half hour drive to St Paul around 8AM. I was meeting up an old tournament buddy this year and I was really excited to see him again. I set up my tent and got registered and perused the vendor tents for awhile. My buddy didn't show up until around 9PM. After setting up his tent we sat around and caught up until 5AM on Saturday. I woke up at 8AM and got ready. After my buddy woke up and got registered and ready we made out way out onto the battlefield around 11AM. Out team was getting smoked and we were pushed back into our firebase. We shot a few balls and after about a half hour I headed back to camp and passed out. I woke up at around 7PM, packed up my stuff and went home. The end.

I wasn't feeling it at all. IAlso the marker I bought and setup specifically for SG I wasn't able to use because it didn't work with the tank I brought. The little I did play was with an Azodin KP3+ with a Rotor loader which some guy actually made fun of me for. You know pumpers like consistent feeding too! Which was the following, you may have seen her before:

To actually anwser Trbo's question. I usually bring a pump a mechanical semi and a stock class. I shoot the pump for the "beads" game. I use the stock class for magfed part of the main SG. And I'll use a mix of pump and semi for the main SG, mostly pump tho. I buy three cases of the mid grade paint. I don't play the night game because I've experienced some "stuff and some things, man". The last SG didn't seem to have the same feel to it as the previous ones I've been to. It seemed like a lot of the Californians didn't make it like the LA Hitmen. There were some other teams absent and the raffle was really, really light. I'm hoping this year will be better and I plan on getting some sleep.

I play all 3 days and do 3 cases. It's actually a little more paint than I tend to shoot but I'm fine with that. I plan out how many pods I plan to take out with me for each game and know that if I stick to that schedule I'll be fine.

My team runs team paint so I just want to make sure I'm contributing enough to cover what I'll shoot

      Friday (running pump)
      4 pods +hopper

      Saturday day 11 pods +hopper
Final battle 11 pods + hopper

      Sunday 4 pods + hopper

200 for the hopper and 140 for each pod

Typically what ends up happening is I don't use every pod on Saturday so I have a few extras to add into Sunday if I want.

More aggressive than not, it's easier to hit people the closer you are. But I've also run whole days in a scenario shooting stock class and had a blast letting other people cover for me

Not really sure what to bring.. I have so many to show off..

If I bring the new toy, that would cover pump and closed bolt semi use.. and I have a couple of electros of various size and operating principles.. will probably bring my emek, the new build I've been calling "swansong", my excal, and either my viking or my PM8.. that way I can cover my bases with open and closed bolt semi/electric options, I CAN oblige stickfeed too, but I'd have to bring a whole other gun for that, but 'm flying and need to bring a few changes of clothes, so space is kinda limited, 4 guns is kinda pushing it already IMO

        Tough one then.

Order one case for sure and then I'd say either bring funds for a second (it's $10 more at the event) or if you think you'll be shooting more semi maybe just order a second

If you were playing Friday I'd say just get 2 but Saturday and Sunday only, it's possible to do on one if you are consecutive.

Lol! - The 5 times I went all I got was a case, and gave away anywhere from 250 to 500. That was playing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. No clear target = no reason to shoot. There was always other people spraying paint that I didn't need to....

Have fun gang! It was always an interesting environment to play in.....

hrm, i was thinking 2 cases actually, mainly cause i havent played in a few years and it might be fun to get a little heavy on the trigger.. and ill be experimenting with an izon sight i might be goofing off a bit with it trying to see if its pointed in the right direction

Yeah if you don't want to worry about being conservative, 2 cases

It can be quite humid there, especially when playing the night game. Take some type of goggle fan, and antifog....

              Some general tips for supergame

              Camping stuff

              1) bring ear plugs, you may not need them but some years are louder than others. They have quiet hours but they are more of a suggestion. There's a party Friday night so people are coming back to their camp drunk

              2) I like to throw a roll of toilet paper in my camping stuff. Yes they have port a potties but depending on the weather they may not be able to bring as many in. When that happens they have run out of TP before the truck can get back out there to replenish

              3) ABOVE ground fire pits ONLY. camping is in a nut tree orchard so fires on the ground can damage the roots

              4) if it's wet again, what we found last year is there's a feed store in town that can sell dry shavings. It was like 10 bucks for a fairly large bag, we spread out 2 or 3 around our 4 spot camp site and it did amazing. Really helped dry up the mud

              5) it can, and often does get COLD at night. Bring cold weather stuff. I have purchased sweats and a sweatshirt in the vendor village in the past just to sleep in

              Paintball related stuff

              1) I like to bring 2 pairs of gloves. I can deal with damp Jersey and pants but gloves are the worst.

              2) bring a few options. Long sleeves, short sleeves. Weather can change fast and the weather reports around here are not always accurate

              3) a roll of disposable shop towels really helps clean goggles and gear through the weekend

              4) I would recommend trail running shoes, or boots if you need ankle support for the field. Rubber sole is a good idea. Cleats will slip on logs and branches.

              5) I always recommend having a way to bring some water out onto the field. It's 70 acres, quite a hike to get back to your camp spot

              6) Try the night game! They use flood lights on the DMZ so it's more like a "twilight" game over night. If the weather is decent it's pretty fun. I don't go out in the woods where it's dark dark, not my flavor.

I played in Supergames 55 Oregon and it was awesome. Played on Blue Team and will probably play again on Blue.

Just wanted to ask if anyone played magfed at the event using roundball? I was putting Marbilizer in my Tipx because I don't feel like shooting FSRs at close range from the EMF. But I noticed the Tipx was shooting like crap and saw that the paint was dimpled. Has anyone had any issues with that paint for the event? Normally I would use Graffiti but that isn't an option.

Not exactly magfed, but last year I ran my Qloader which can be just as picky about dimpled paint and it did really well on their "tournament" grade.

My team has shot marbalizer every year except one where we tried the tourny grade (were not impressed, went back to marbs) can't say I've had a year that bad with dimpled paint. The closest we have come is one year I sized inserts on Friday when it was cold and then everyone just copied whatever size I was using and the rest of the weekend we were all breaking paint like crazy.

Yeah the idiot I am I never checked to see if the paint had expanded a little after it warmed up so we were all basically running insane underbores all weekend

                      lhamilton1807 and Levirate Ave SETHZILLA!

Were you guys planning on camping with us?

If so, do you want in on our food plan? We are most likely going to have a dedicated chef this year. It's usually around $25 for the weekend. We don't have a menu yet but usually it's pretty good. Biscuits and gravy, BBQ chicken etc. Once we get a rough head count he can put together a menu and that will determine price

jokers had offered for us to camp with his crew, but that’s right next to your camp, so we’ll be there - not sure what his food arrangement is - potluck? Free-for-all? I’m vegetarian so I figured I’d bring some of my own grub and would add to the pile that way. Levirate and Dice2k will stay in my tent and aren’t vegetarians so I’ll ask what they want to do (they aren’t on here often)

For food we tend to do similar to Trbo323 one local guys brings food and everyone pitches in if they eat, with that said there is always other food as well. I will talk to our chef and he can work with your chef and Lt. head-shot and everyone else and make a meal plan if everyone wants, just let me know.

At this time I know we are planning on having a dedicated kitchen tent with a grill, prep area, lights, powered cooler and water. Lt. headshot had talked about bring his "oni" pizza oven and there is normally a jet boil for that first morning cup of coffee.

Correct I usually make a chili for camping since its easy to heat up and good after a long day. I can bring the pizza oven, though it will be tough to lay stuff out/stretch dough, etc. Might need to have some of the store bought pre-made crusts for ease of use. Or maybe make some calzones (easier to pull in and out). My buddy has one of the blackstone/flat tops which are great for making big breakfasts an whatnot, and I have a regular stove as well.

I tend to overplan/bring too much, so I kinda expect that we are going to have a feast every night!

jokers you said you are bringing a fire pit? Are you loading up your trailer with wood too? That is one expense that tends to add up, depending on how much you burn through. Will definitely help out with that so we can keep everyone toasty at night. I may end up bringing one too, I've got an old propane tank that I want to cut up and make into a fire pit.
